My Review
Kissed by Reality was a sweet and sexy romance between Leighton Aldridge and Finn Wyatt. After competing on Mr. Right, the dating reality tv show, both Leighton and Finn end up on its spin off. When they actually do fall in love on the show and get engaged, they hold up in their apartment waiting for the show to end so they can begin their real life. But Leighton destroyed everything that was between them, leaving Finn devastated
Finn is now the new Mr. Right. He's ready to put Leighton's betrayal behind him and hopefully find love again on the reality show as its lead. What he never expects is for Leighton to show up. Leighton has regretted her decision every day since she made it. Now that the producers are giving her a chance to win Finn's heart again, she's ready to put it all out in front of Finn and the whole nation. Her nerve starts to slip when Finn is understandably angry. But with her future on the line (and the producers behind the scenes), Leighton is going to do everything she can to win Finn's heart again.
Even though I haven't watched a reality dating show in a long time, while reading Carrie's Kissed by Reality, I felt like I was on the tv set. The behind the scenes knowledge was fascinating and so was learning what exactly transpired between Finn and Leighton. I read this almost entirely in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. With just enough angst to keep my heart pounding and flipping pages, watching Finn and Leighton thaw was so sweet. Their sexy times were scorching hot and their development, relatable. When the reason for their spilt was revealed I was both a bit relieved and a bit surprised at what actually caused their breakup. By the end I was so excited to see their reconciliation but knowing that they had at least one more hurdle to overcome based on how many pages were left. It's safe to say I was left with a huge smile on my face and not wanting these two lovable character's story to end.
