Synopsis

Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am.

Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street.

Best decision I ever made.

Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job.

My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.

But the saying is true.

The world makes way for those who know where they are going.

That’s me.

I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.

But then there’s him.

I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.

He makes me feel.

It’s unconventional.

But it’s real.

I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker.

So am I.

This isn’t a story.

This is my life.

My Review

I was so excited to start this book. I have read so many amazing reviews and saw so many hot teasers that I just couldn't take it anymore and finally read it.

Lexi is stable, responsible and has dedicated her life to helping troubled teens.  But her life hasn't always been this way. She once lived in a house with an alcoholic dad, a mom to busy to notice, and a brother who eventually left her behind.  Her saving grace came from her foster mom, who was more of a parent to her than either of her actual parents ever were.

Twitch grew up abused and never knowing the meaning of love. He once thought he found a glimpse of it in a little girl under a big tree who refused to take no for an answer when she tried to help him. But just like everything else in his life...she left.

Talk about a big fat ugly cry book. At first I was a little let down because I wasn’t feeling the connection between Lexi and Twitch and the whole stalker thing was just a bit weird to me. But then when he started to get all really possessive over her and actually allow himself to feel for her I fell in love with the story...and Twitch

I loved Twitch almost as much as I loved his dirty mouth.

Oh, who am I kidding...everything about Twitch was dirty...and I loved every dip, scar, line, and tattoo of that bad boy.

Hot damn the things that came out of that guys mouth were dirtier than a Las Vegas call girl. I loved how strong and dominating and all alpha he was. There was not a soft spot in that man…well for most of the book anyway.

There’s something about Twitch. He’s just…raw.

Everything about him is raw.

And gritty.

And unbound.

My heart just shattered, not once but twice in this book. I’m hoping for a Raw #2…but I won’t hold my breath. I do have to say the ending was epic, so if it is left how it is I would still be happy even though I feel like I’ve been torn apart bit by bit.

“Walking away, I mentally hear glass cracking under my feet because I step right over my shattered heart.”

This was the first book I've read by Belle Aurora and I can say for certain it will not be my last!

Well done Belle!

(I had to "borrow" this from Belle Aurora's facebook page because it describes perfectly how this book made me feel)

About the Author

Belle Aurora is twenty six years old and was born in the land down under.
At an early age she fell in love with reading. Boredom one summer had her scouring the bookshelves at home. She stumbled across Sandra Brown’s Breath of Scandal and fell in love with romance.
Having been brought up in a loud and boisterous family of Croatian descent, she developed a natural love for dramatics and humor. Only some years ago had she discovered a new love.
Humorous romance novels.
Kristen Ashley and R.L. Mathewson had opened a brand new world where she could lose herself yet feel safe and at home in their stories. Belle has been known to become a screeching banshee while anxiously awaiting their newest titles.
Belle never thought she would write. It had never interested her until recently. Friend-Zoned began to form and in February this year Belle typed the words Chapter One. And she fell in love.
With words.
With writing.
With a creative imagination she never knew she harbored.
Friend-Zoned is the first in the Friend-Zoned series. Keep an eye out for this cheeky author.
