My Review

Christine can write anything. Paranormal. Contemporary. Chick Lit. Suspense. Erotica. She has romance covered and she does it well no matter what sub-genre she chooses to use. Suite 269 is no different. This erotic love story was both sweet and sassy and lovely and tingle inducing. Lexa and Jameson's three week love story claimed me.

We meet Lexa, a fact checker at a struggling magazine, during her bachelorette party. In a few weeks she's getting married and so she and her friends want to go out with a bang. After the night was over instead of going to the hotel like they had planned, Lexa ends up back home. What greets her is the last thing she expects to see: her fiancee cheating on her with another girl from their work. Heartbroken and embarrassed that everyone at works knows exactly what happened, she has to get through the next few weeks until she can escape and enjoy her honeymoon for one. What she doesn't expect was for her boss to want to go with her.

Jameson, who works at the same magazine as Lexa for his father, was in a relationship of sorts with the woman Lexa's fiancee cheated on her with. Disgusted that even though they weren't exclusive she would do something  like that to another person, he dumps her especially after he finally sees Lexa as more than the fact checker down in the basement. Sparks fly and Jameson can't seem to get Lexa out of his head even though he is not a relationship kind of guy. So he proposes that they take Lexa's honeymoon together. Three weeks. No rules except to make every single one of Lexa's fantasies come true.

What starts as a single moment of time, turns into something far more than that. But feelings can't stay hidden for long and soon both are falling. When their time is up, both have to go back to their regular lives. Jameson has to focus on saving his magazine and Lexa has to try and get the management at the magazine to realize she can do more than fact check. When their worlds collide, neither Jameson nor Lexa is left unscathed.

This book started off with a punch to the panties and just got steamier. The tension between Jameson and Lexa while they were getting to know each other was off the charts. I could feel their attraction through my Kindle and made me excited (pun intended) to get to their no holds barred three week vacation. The sexy times between Jameson and Lexa was perfectly written for their characters. It didn't turn into sex for the sake of sex, but really flowed well with the storyline and how I perceived their personalities would actually behave.

Beyond the well written fun times, I loved both Jameson and Lexa. Jameson was an alpha male but not overbearing. He demanded what he wanted but in such a sweet way knowing that Lexa needed time. I loved listening to his thoughts about Lexa and how he really wanted her to get over terrible ex but didn't want to push her into anything she wasn't ready for. He was swoony even before his clothes came off. Lexa was sassy and hilarious. She was strong even in the face of her devastation. She stood up for herself and even when her heart broke, she picked herself back up and made the most of it.

Honestly the only thing I wish this book had was more at the end. I would have loved seeing their struggle play out a bit more. And I would have loved to see Jameson and Lexa happier together longer. But that's just because I really didn't want the book to end. This love story had me smiling and giggling and swooning and loving every second.
