My Review


Wow! Talk about a Hurricane of emotions. If you are a fan of fighter, angst, love and a truly happy ending that this is a must read!

Being a fan of hot fighters I was completely swept up in the Hurricane that is Cormac O’Connell. Holy Mother of a sex personified, alpha fucking hottie it Cormac “Hurricane” O’Connell. Instantly I was smitten with out pretty much down and out hero who was looking for a little sunshine in his life.  And boy did he find that the rays of sunlight and in a big way.

Meet Emily.

Oh sweet Emily how my heart broke for this poor young girl. I just felt her pain, fear and reluctance to move forward as if she were a real person.

Having suffered the worst kind of abuse for years at the hands of she step father Emily does what any girl would to try and survive…she runs. Lucky for her she ends up crossing paths with none other than our “Hurricane”.

What follows is an amazing story of resiliency, facing fears, learning to trust and best of all finding family in the least likely place, but best of all finding unconditional love.

I really loved reading the love story of O’Connell and Emily it was truly something special.  I love friends to lover’s stories and this hit the mark perfectly. Emily was just what Cormac needed, supporting his fighting career, encouraging him to never give up all the while loving him eternally.

For Emily, Cormac is serially her salvation, her rock and best of the entire best friend she needed so very badly. I love Cormac and how he never gave up on his pursuing of what he wanted from Emily. Her. All of her.

I would have liked more of a duel POV, but still the story was an amazing tale of overcoming pain to move into a future full of light and promise.


With amazing secondary characters, whom I all hope get their stories shared with us I am definitely keeping my eye out for more from R. J. Prescott.

I was born in Cardiff, South Wales although I left to study law at the University of Bristol, England. Four weeks before graduation I fell in love, and stayed. Ten years later I convinced my crazy, wonderful fire fighter husband to move back to Cardiff with me where we live with our two equally crazy sons. “Vincenzo, he's almost half dead. "Oh, I'm ready. I want him to feel how I am going to make the last seconds of his life the most painful. He's going to wish he died years ago."

I'd witnessed and participated in these hits and beatings numerous times and knew from experience that Dobson was struggling to breathe. He was going to suffocate in his own blood, which was most likely pooling in his lungs, causing his slow but agonising death.

"Capo, pass me your gun," he said.

"My gun? You're just gonna end him with a gun? Are you serious?" I was a sick fuck when it came to rapists. I had no fucking tolerance. I walked over to the bench, picked up the satchel and pulled out a Dirk. This was my favourite weapon. It resembled a dagger, almost like a mini sword. “Get outta my fucking way. You've done enough pussyfooting.” I shoved Vincenzo out of my way.

I stood before Dobson and slid on my gloves, noticing he was almost near death. Grabbing him by his face, I squeezed his jaw until he turned to look me directly in the eye.

“It's just not your lucky day, is it, Dobson? We've been planning this for six years, mate. It would've been in your best interest to have stayed in prison. But...you’re out. You messed with one of our women, a blood relative. I thought you would've learned something being in prison for that long. And what do you do when you come out? You go after Grace again and stick that shrivelled up dick in her without her consent.”

“P…p…lease,” he begged in desperate short breaths. So, the fucker still had some life in him. Good, that was how I liked it--when they could stare at their own death in the face.

“My men could’ve made this really easy for you. We could’ve have easily just cut off your dick. But that’s getting a bit old, right, fellas?” I asked them. “I think a slow, excruciating and painful death is more suited for what you did to Grace.”

“I…I w…was high, I h…had no idea what I was doing. Please just make it quick.”

I took the Dirk and ran it along each side of the fucker’s jaw. He barely made a sound as the blade sliced through his skin.

Securing my gloves on more firmly, I stabbed him in the chest and held it there for a few moments. “It’s just a shame Grace will never know how your life ended. There is no way we can tell her what we are doing to you, but I’m sure, knowing you’re rotting in Hell with give her great peace of mind.”

Oh My God!! If you haven’t started to read this series... well then you need to hurry the hell up!

If you haven’t read January yet, I highly recommend to go one-click it immediately. From the moment I started reading this series, I knew I was going to be addicted! What a fun, refreshing take on the serial. I can’t wait to delve into Mia’s journey each month.  This is one you aren’t going to want to miss, this series full of hotties, hot sex and witty dialogue. You will not be disappointed!

In January we are introduced to Mia twenty something year old beauty, with an amazing sense of humor, who happens to love love. Unfortuenetly love doesn’t always love her back. With a string of bad relationships and a father with a huge gambling debt we see Mia struggling to find away to help her family out. Lucky for her Aunt Millie just so happens to own a high-end escort service where within a year she will no doubt be able to pay off the million-dollar debt.  
As an escort Mia will spend roughly 3 weeks with each client, sex is not required but comes with an extra payment if agreed upon.

What follows in January is a month spent with Wes. The uber hot and sexy surfer/ movie writer. OMG! Wes and Mia had chemistry, bloody smokin’ hot sex and one serious connection! Fark! Mia and Alec have amazing chemistry and an insane sexual attraction that I swear was enough to make me blush. Carlan can write the shit out of a sex scene and I cannot wait for more as each book progresses.


Alec and Mia’s bond is strong, one that will not soon be forgotten as Mia moves on to job 3 in March. But I’m still holding out for Wes. I’m curious to see how this series will play out…will Mia choose to return to Wes? Will she have sex with  job #3? Gah! I don’t think I can wait a year to see this whole thing play out!!!! 
But I do know for sure is that I need March now!
