WOW! Just WOW! What a start to a new series!

This is the story of Lana Myers. Her life is seeking revenge. She lives and breathes it. 10 years ago she's involved in a life changing event. Over those years she's rebuilt herself physically and emotionally. The only thing she thinks about is payback to those who changed her life. She's become a monster who will have her vengeance. Until she meets Logan. A chance meeting breaks through the hard facade she's built. He makes her feel human again. Logan is an FBI profiler. He's married to his job and the only thing he has time for is work. When he meet's Lana he has hopes that she won't be like other women as she understands he has a job to do and that it takes him away a lot. There's something there he feels for her and he's determined to get a chance to find out what it is. I won't elaborate much more on the plot because i don't want to spoil it for you but i will tell you it's probably one of the best plots i have ever come across.

This book will make you question your morals. You're thrown straight into the action which i will warn is a little graphic! #Stabby. Lana has a kill list and as the story unravels you will be rooting for her. You will be with her every step of the way. You will want to hurt anyone who stands in her way of the revenge she seeks. I love her!! I feel for her!! I empathize with her!! I admire her! Go Lana!!


Logan brings a lot to her story. If it wasn't for him tbh i don't think you would see that much good in Lana. He makes her feel again which is a good thing because i fear what will happen if she loses touch with her human side. The side she was before the incident. Plus.... he's hot as sin!!! grrrrrr With Lana's backstory finding someone like Logan is a godsend! New Book Boyfriend alert!!

This story is going to unfold over the 5 books which will be releasing around a week apart. This book has a cliffie... a pretty big one... one that will have you gasp and shout OMFG!!! noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Thank goodness there's only a week to wait because tbh i would have been going crazy else and calling the author names that are not allowed on Amazon reviews!!!

I loved this book so much. So so so so much!!! It's been a while since i have been so excited for the next book in a series. I have a feeling that this series is gonna hit my top 5 of all time! The writing is excellent. The plot draws you in so you can't put it down, and it keeps you on the edge of you seat. I've already re-read it to make sure i have all the facts. I just quite simply LOVED IT!!

Take a chance on this book. You have nothing to lose it's free!! Dark Romance at it's finest!!

With her hand in mine, I hail a cab on Fullerton. She isn’t saying much, and I like that. I like talking to her, getting dirty, watching her lose her words. Because I’ll tell you what, I’m planning on her losing a shitload more than that before I’m done with her. Losing everything to me. That’s the fucking plan.
​The cabbie pulls off to the other side of the road a little way up from us and puts on his hazards to tell us he’s waiting. As we head for the crosswalk, I kick aside a drift from one of the plows, but it’s unsteady footing, icy and slick. As she begins to slip, her grip on my hand tightens.
​“That’s enough of that,” I tell her, and scoop her up into my arms, newlywed-style.
​She squeals and hangs on tight. She fits fucking perfectly in my arms, and I love the way she feels tight against me. Her fingers slip past my collar, and her fingernails dig gently into the back of my neck. “I can walk,” she says, mostly to my mouth. Then she raises her eyes. “It was just slippery.”
​I don’t answer right away. I don’t want to come on too strong. I don’t want to scare her, but I don’t want there to be any fucking mistake at all about what I want or how I plan to get it. “I know you can. I’m sure you can do pretty much everything.”
​Her eyes glisten, and I hoist her up a little higher in my arms. The walk signal starts flashing its hand as we get to the other curb. “I’m no shrinking violet.”
​“Good. Because I’m going to need you to come strong for me tonight.”
​Her body reacts before her face does, her back arching under my hand, that bend so delicate under my palm.
​“Multiple times. Loudly.”
​She presses her face to my chest and moans out what sounds like, “Who are you?”
“And you’re going to tell me what you like and how you like it. We’re not going to fuck around. Communication, pussycat. That’s the key.”
There go her words again. I’m getting to know that glaze in her eye, disoriented with desire. “And what about you?”
​Now we’re even with the cab, but I’ve still got some things she needs to know. “I don’t come until you do. At least twice.”
​She’s got no answer for that, so I bring her chin up toward me, stretching her pretty neck out with my thumb on her jaw. “You hear me?”
​She nods. She breathes. She blinks.
​“That’s how it’s going to go.”
​“I think I can handle that.”
​I laugh, sending a plume of steam out of my nose. This girl has no idea how badly I want her. How badly I need her. How fucking hard I am already to get inside her. “Yeah? You think so? You think you can handle me?”
​Her eyes widen a little. “I think so,” she whispers.
Then I let her slip from my arms, such a fucking shame, but I’m not about to let her open her own door. As she gets into the cab—on the street side, the safe side—I say into her ear, “We’ll just see about that.”

Hail Mary is a sweet and sexy sports rom-com that hooked me from the very first chapter. Mary and Jimmy are seemingly opposite as can be with very different lives, yet there is just something about the two of them together. With some insta-lust/love, this safe (don't let the blurb scare you) love story was completely scrumptious.

Mary and Jimmy meet in the cutest meet-cute ever and as they build on their unusual beginning, they find that their attraction only grows. At least until Mary realizes who Jimmy is. Jimmy is the starting QB for the local NFL team making tons of money and more famous that Mary could have ever dreamed. And oh yeah, Mary is scheduled to be his knew trainer. But Jimmy isn't going to let a little thing like fame and fortune turn Mary away. With determination suited the best book boyfriends, Jimmy shows Mary that he isn't what the Internet says he is. He is so much more. But when familial issues spring up, it's up to Jimmy and Mary to wade their way through the tumult together or finally go their separate ways. 

The beginning of this story was some of the best rom-com writing I've ever read. Seriously stellar. And the rest of the book didn't let me down. I gobbled this book up and fell head over heels for these two. While the second half of the story was a bit more serious, I still giggled and swooned my way through this delightful read and I'm excited to read more by Ms. Rendell.
