 “Nice ass,” a deep voice said. I jumped and quickly straightened up. Heat rushed to my cheeks as my head spun from left to right, trying to identify where the noise had come from.

“Sorry,” the voice came again, only this time I identified its source. A guy stepped out from behind the tree. He was tall, about six foot, with floppy brown hair, olive-toned skin and chocolate-coloured eyes, a tiny freckle marring his right cheek. A small smile was twisted on his lips, showcasing a dimple that made something twinge inside of me.

“You can’t do that.” I frowned.

“If you’re going to bend over in my presence I’m not allowed to compliment you?” The guy stepped forward, closer to me.

“I was stretching.” I shot him what I hoped was a withering look. “And you were hiding behind a tree.”

“I was relaxing behind a tree.” He stepped closer again and I saw the light dancing in his eyes. “But I do realise I might have come across a little sleazy. I meant it as a compliment. You have a great ass. Much better than some of the others I’ve seen around here.”

“You do this all the time?”

“Depends on what you mean by ‘this’.”

“Standing behind trees, and checking out peoples asses.”

My eyes dropped to her chest. That top fit her tits like a glove; any man would struggle to keep their eyes off her chest. I wasn’t a saint and had no problem showing my appreciation so it took me more than a few moments to look back up to her face. She was shaking her head at me but there was a hint of a smile.

I smirked. “Sweetheart, if you’re gonna wear shit like that you’ve gotta expect men to stare.”

“Turn around.” 

“What?”

She repeated herself. “I said, turn around.”

“Yeah, I got that but I’m wondering where you’re going with this.”

She walked over to me until she was in my personal space. A sexy smile came over her face and she said, “I want you to turn around so that I can check out your ass cause baby, a woman’s got needs and if you’re gonna wear shit like that, her needs are gonna be fulfilled.”

I reached out and curled my hand around her neck, pulling her closer. “Fuck woman, what are you doing to me?”

My Review
This dark romance by Tillie Cole just made its way into my favourite reads of 2014 list. Raze, what a book! I have a total book hangover now, once again because of Miss Cole and the amazing characters she creates and their magnificent stories. If you love all things Tillie, then Raze will be a definite must read for you. This author has outdone herself, her quality of writing is outstanding and continues to leave me craving more. I was sucked in from page one as this amazing story unfolded before my eyes.

Raze is a love story between two people that was built to stand the test of time. Can a bond formed from childhood, a bond so strong, once again be found in the darkest of times? Kisa and Luka were meant to get their happily ever after. But that all changed. Life happened, and years later, after a lifetime of wounds that will never heal, after a soul so broken it could never be repaired, Kisa finds herself rescued by a man, a dangerous man who goes by the name of Raze. I don't want to give anything away to spoil the story, so this is as far as I will go in regards to the characters and plot. All I can say is READ.THIS.NOW. It is a must read for all dark romance lovers out there. 

He was as cold as an arctic winter... but he was a beautiful monster.

Raze does cover some dark elements that may be touchy subjects for certain readers, so keep this in mind when purchasing the book. Although some things that happen to our main characters are horrible, Miss Cole has written them in a way that doesn't have you cringing at the very moment as it is happening, for I thank her! She made those scenes much easier to digest and it is thanks to her incredible writing abilities. This story is one that held my attention from the get go, it holds depth and emotion that really allows you to feel a solid connection to Kisa and Raze and what they are truly feeling. The story was very well developed as were the main and secondary characters. 

Their connection was something beautiful, and oh so epic. I highly recommend Raze. A story I won't be forgetting any time soon.
