--KADE--

Ainsley Daniels. She is a typhoon. A tidal wave. A goddamned wrecking ball. She burst into my world unannounced and left nothing but destruction in her wake. The worst part about it: I can’t get her out of my head.

In a bizarre twist of fate, the drummer of my band is marrying Ainsley’s best friend. In a few months, I’ll be face to face with the woman who took my heart and ran. It’s been over a year since I first laid eyes on her, and I’m finally getting the second chance I was hoping for. This time, I’ll do anything to make Ainsley Daniels mine.

--AINSLEY--

Kade Black isn’t just the lead singer of the most notorious rock band in the world, he’s my dark horse. Our one night plan became three weeks of debauchery, and I never intended to see him again when it was over.

He offered me the world, but I'm too much of a realist. Instead, I pushed him away and spent the last year building a life for myself. Now Jenny’s wedding is blowing into town like a hurricane, stirring up feelings I’ve worked so hard to ignore. Between my daughter, my job, and a bitter ex-husband who's determined to destroy me, the last thing I need in my new life is Kade coming back to shake things up. I’ve moved on.

If only Kade Black weren’t so damned irresistible.

This is a second chance romance about a hot Rockstar and a recently divorced woman struggling to come to terms with her break up and bring up her child.

Ainsley has just had her divorce come through.  He ex-husband cheated on her with their young nanny and she's feeling vulnerable and kind of lost after he beat her confidence down.  She still loves her ex but knows that it's now over.  Her best friend Jenny who works in Public relations invites her along on tour with a rock band she is representing.  It's not just any rock band its Black Diamond.  Ainsley has always had a crush on the lead singer Kade so it would be a dream come true for her but she is reluctant because of her divorce.  Jenny convinces her to go as Ainsley's daughter will be on holiday with her father and she would just be alone any way.  When she finally meets Kade he sets his sights on her and asks for one night only.  She can do one night to try and get over her ex.  But will she be able to resist going back for more?

Kade loves his Rockstar lifestyle.  On the road with his pick of women he's loving life.  Then he meets Ainsley.  Her saying no to him only makes him more determined.  What Kade wants Kade gets.  He can turn on the charm with a flick of a switch and Ainsley isn't completely immune to it.  After that one night he can't help but to go back for more.  He's had a taste of peace with her in his arms and he wants more.

This story is quite long and spans over a few years.  I do like this as you get a lot of story for your money.  The pace is steady and even though it is long i wasn't skimming and i didn't get bored and i really enjoyed the story.  I was rooting for the couple all the way through.

Kade for me was such a good guy.  Yes he was hot headed and had a temper and you do get to find out why later on in the story.  But he was also kind and giving and romantic and loving, sexy and alpha and i really enjoyed him being all of these things.  I did feel really sorry for him when Ainsley threw a lot of things back in his face and made him chase and chase her.  This brings me to the only thing i felt let this book down.  I did like Ainsley and i get why she was the way she was.  Protecting her daughter and not wanting to get her heart broken again.  I really do get why but... I felt that this was taken a touch too far.  It actually began to get on my nerves near the end.  I love an alpha who doesn't give up but i felt he turned into a bit of a doormat for her to walk all over and he let her and continued to chase.  It seemed that she never apologized for this either it was him every time coming back for more.  It started to feel that he was the only one giving in the relationship and she took and took and threw him away any time things got rough.  When you find out why Kade has his temper it seemed to be glossed over and not much was said about it.  Ainsley didn't seem too bothered about what he went through and not long after she dumps him again.  It just got a bit too much for me.

I loved Kade's relationship with Ainsley's daughter and i thought this was really well paced in the story not just rushed into but their relationship grew over time and the ending was great in regards to this.  The other characters were also great.  I loved to hate her ex he was a complete douche.  The other band members were entertaining and i would love to read their stories.

I would recommend this book and i am going to look into this authors other books.  It was entertaining and i did really enjoy it.  I just wish that Ainsley would have given Kade a break a time or two and she chased him.  Even right at the end he's still the one chasing.
