When Lil's finds herself in a whirlwind of danger her knight in shining armor, er..., her badass biker on a Harley bails her out. But at what cost?
My Review
A Lil Less Broken is book one in Tara Oaks new series and
wow does she start it off with a bang. We are introduced to our main Character
Lil who is in deep shit from the first word. A night out with friends lands her
in hot water with a motorcycle club, but motorcycle clubs are not a strange
place for her. She grew up in one and fell in love with one of its members.
As Lil waits for her family to come save her she remembers the
member that broke her heart a couple years ago…Jay. She still loves him with
all her heart but that same heart was torn in two by him and caused her to run
away from her family and friends without so much as a goodbye. For two years
she has avoided him and not talked to him but now he turns out to be her get
out of jail free card. The only catch is she has to be his again.
Jay never knew why Lil up and left him but it tore him apart
and made him a jaded man. Lil was the only girl that he ever truly loved and
wanted to be with in a permanent basis. When he has to come to her rescue it is
a happy circumstance that it gives him his second shot with her.
Once they are together they soon learn that it was a
misunderstanding of Lil seeing something and not knowing the whole truth behind
it. Once they are reunited they fall back into a hot and steamy love affair.
But Lil’s troubles are not far behind as the leader of the other Motorcycle
Club is not done with them.
The writing style in this book was right up my alley, for
the most part it’s told from Lil’s point of view but you do get a glimpse into
Jay’s head. I will say at first I was not a fan of present day Jay but loved
the Jay from the flash backs that we get. With that said though I do warm up to
him and actually find myself losing a lil bit of my heart to him.
This book does leave you with the biggest cliff-hanger but
lucky for you all the next book is out and you can read them back to backJ So please continue to
read on to the next part of this review after you read this book because there
will be spoiler from this book in the next part…so stop reading this read the
book then come back and finish the review……

Synopsis
WARNING***
This novella is intended for those 18+ of age and contains strong language, sexual content, adult situations and a direct continuation of it's prequel 'A Lil' Less Lost'.
Do fairytale's always have a happily ever after? Jay and Lil's had just found the love they once shared and foolishly lost. But, a horrific turn events threatens to end it forever. Jay must race against time to save his ol' lady Lil's and their baby before tragedy strikes. In this sequel we learn more about Jay, the deep love he has for his soulmate, and just how far he is willing to go to protect her.
This novella is approx. 50,500 words and does not contain a cliffhanger ending like it's prequel. However, an epic love story like Lil's and Jay cannot possibly be wrapped up in two tidy little novella's... now can it?
A Lil Less Lost begins with Jay trying to track down a newly
discovered pregnant Lil. He can’t believe he just got her back to lose her
again. What he doesn’t know is that Shades has called Lil and let her know that
he has her friend and will only let her go if Lil trades herself for her.
Lil runs to save Emily but is put in a horrible scene
because Shades double crosses she and Emily are shot right in front of her. Jay
gets word that a girl was found shot in Lil’s car and he can’t let himself
believe that his Lil and their baby is gone. He races to the hospital only to
discover it was actually Emily.
But now Shades has made his demands known as to what he
wants in order to let Lil go. Jay’s dad wants to bargain with Shades, except
Jay has other plans. He and a few others make a plan to save Lil and bring her
home safe to him, because she not being safe in his arms is not an option.
This book was told from more of Jay’s point of view and what
lil part of my heart I wasn’t willing to give him; well he rode right in and
stole it. I can’t believe I actually didn’t like him at any point. The love he
has for Lil and the lengths he will go to show it brought me to my knees.
But another fun part of this book was that we are introduced
to what I hope are the next couple in this series. Charlie who has been trying
to infiltrate the club for some time and Clink the man who sponsored Jay into
the club. These two are going to be one hell of a story because Clink is a badass
alpha and Charlie is hiding something but these two are already hot and heavy!!
I can’t wait for the next book.
Thank you Tara Oaks for bringing these boys and girls into
my life, I look forward to reading about them in the future for sure!
