"There will come a time in our world when greed, power and wealth will overrule good judgement, and packs will be destroyed."

In the blink of an eye, everything can change, altering life as we know it forever.

Zara was happy and carefree, until receiving her gift from the heavens. Her world tilts completely on its axis when she faces torture at the hands of a person meant to love her. Forced into a life of servitude, she's left only a shell of her former self.

Lifemates are a gift all their own. A powerful link that can’t be broken.

Zara crosses paths with Xavier, Alpha of the Raber Pack, and the one time playboy finds himself drawn to the broken woman. As their connection flares to life, he grows determined to unleash the spitfire she hides within.

Little does Xavier know that in finding Zara, he's ignited a flame that could destroy everyone’s lives…

Who doesn’t love a book with a sexy Alpha Male. Well ladies this book not only has a hot as hell lead man, but he is in-fact, an actual Alpha!

This is the first book in Ryan Michele’s new series Raber Wolf Pack and introduces us to the lives of Shifter’s Zara and Xavier.

Zara is the daughter of her packs Alpha. Xavier is the Alpha of the Raber Wolf Pack. Zara is a carefree, slightly rebellious 23 year old, who only wants to have fun and get laid and one day meet her mate and settle down. She is content with her life and her place in her pack, until one night she discovers she has a power that will change her life forever. She thinks that by telling the truth about what is happening she will be safe, instead she finds herself captured, tortured and forced to serve the very people she thought she could trust.

She is left broken, resigned to the fact that she will never be free to find her mate or have a normal, happy life. Until one day, she crosses paths with Xavier and everything changes. An Alpha in the truest sense of the word, this man commands power over his people but would lay his life down for them just as quickly. They are drawn to each other in an uncontrollable way, which sets off a chain of events that puts not just them, but the lives of both of their packs in danger.

While I enjoyed reading this book, I found myself struggling to get absorbed in Zara and Xavier’s story. Yes there is an insta-connection which for this book was understandable, but I still found myself wanting there to be a bit more of a “getting to know you stage” with the characters, so that I could connect with them on a deeper level. I struggled a bit with Zara’s character, and found myself switching between disliking her and then really loving her character and back again, and found the times when she was showing a more compassionate side of herself to be when I found her character to be the most believable. Xavier on the other hand I loved! Sexy, dominate and a growl I wish I could have heard with my own ears, my only complaint was that I wanted more of him!

Overall, while I didn’t love this book, I did enjoy it’s storyline and I am looking forward to reading Book Two in the Series and hopefully having the chance to get to know Zara, Xavier and the rest of the Shifters and their stories on a deeper level and to discover the outcomes of a few of the things that were left unanswered from this book.

"Can you say holy hell balls of hotness? Raber Wolf Pack: Book One was an absolutely amazing read! If you are looking for one hot, sexy as hell Alpha look no further than Michele's Xavier." ~ Goodreads Reviewer

Ryan Michele has a huge obsession with reading, which only came to life after her best friend said she had to read Twilight. After reading that series, her entire world changed in the blink of an eye. Not only was she sucked into new worlds and all of the wonderful words authors put down on paper, she felt the urge to begin to write down the characters that played inside of her head. In doing so, Safe was born. When she’s not reading or writing, she spends time taking care of her two children and her husband, enjoying the outdoors and laying in the sun.

Gripping Red’s hand tight, the two ran up the stairs, Brooke wincing each time one of the boards squeaked under the pressure of their weight. At the top, the door was open, a fact that had Brooke’s heart jumping up her throat like it was on a damn trampoline. Peering out, she ensured there was no one in sight before tugging Red forward. A few steps into the carpeted foyer, the sound of voices drifted towards them. Panicking, she pulled Red into what she thought was an empty room and shut the door.

Panting, she leaned against the door, trying to catch her breath.

“We have to hide here, Red. I’ll check if it’s safe in a few minutes.” When there was no reply from Red, Brooke turned her head, searching. “Red?” The other woman stood frozen, unmoving in the middle of the room.

“What are you—ahh…” Brooke stepped up beside Red, concerned why she was non-verbal. The room was not empty as she had expected. It wasn’t empty at all and the scene before them was a terrifying one.

Cots. Rows and rows of cots and each one was occupied with a tiny infant. Some were sleeping, wrapped in thin blankets. Others were squirming, having come loose from their bundle. A few were wailing, a loud sound that would make any dog in the surrounding area sit up and take notice. How Brooke didn’t hear them, was beyond her. The adrenaline was a roar in her ears, blocking out everything except listening for footsteps of anyone that might be approaching. A quick count revealed twenty-four cots. Twenty-four babies either stolen are birthed by a mother that was likely a prisoner in the same house of horrors she was trying to escape from.

Covering her mouth, Brooke supressed a scream of disgust. Children. Helpless infants all lined up and ready to be sold by the indescribable monster, Marcus. An auction straight from a mother’s worst nightmare.

“Red,” she tried to get her attention. “Red,” she said with more force. When that still didn’t work, she reached out and lightly shook her. The haunted, empty look in her eyes when Red finally acknowledged her, broke Brooke’s heart into a million tiny pieces.

“My sons. My daughters…” she moved towards the cots. “I—I have to find them. I—I—I didn’t get to—to hold them,” she stammered, peering over the cots at the tiny faces. Her heartbreak was written all over her face as she searched from cot to cot for her children.

Not being able to stand seeing her torment, Brooke rushed to her side, trying to tug her away. “Red, I don’t think they are here now. These…these are infants. As in just born, and you—” Red’s head whipped around to pin Brooke with furious eyes.

“Shut up. You know nothin’. My children are here. They are here.” Tears sprang to Brooke’s eyes at the utter despair in Red’s voice.

“I really wish they were, God, Red. But I promise you, we will make these bastards pay. We will find your children and make sure they can never do this to any other woman,” Brooke’s promise was fierce and true. She would shut this operation down, even if it killed her to do it.

My Review

Holy Father for I have sinned…I have read a book that is the epitome of Oh My God, and I fucking Loved it!!!

Holy Tabernacle, Blessed oils and fucking at the Alter Batman!!!!

Priest is one HELL of a wicked book that will leave you feeling happily out of sorts long after having read it.

Priest is one of the books where I hated myself for loving it so damn much.

I really had to think and contemplate my feelings for this one. As I read I was really trying to not love it, I felt wrong or evil I have to admit. I really would try to close it and walk away from this book. I swear I did, I’d be like nah, I CANNOT read THIS!! But in the end the sinner in me won and I embraced my inner whore!

In the end, I COMPLETELY DEVOURED this book and let me tell you it was soooo worth caving into the wrong because fuck me it was oh so right.

We meet our charming Father Bell whom I immediately felt drawn to this wonderful priest whose modern views and thoughts were quite refreshing in today’s church life.

At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this story, but it grew on me very quickly. Like as soon as the confessional began.

Poppy Danforth has set out for a clean start in life. Feeling guilty for a sinful past she seeks forgiveness in a small Missouri church. Which lucky for us is Father Bell’s church.

At first Poppy is a mystery non-Catholic confessional seeker whom is seeking penance for her past life’s sins. She immediately impacts Father Tyler Bell in all the wrong priestly ways. I loved Tyler’s inner dialogue and the way his honesty escaped him at every turn.

Loved the duel POV

Tyler's struggles were real and the conflict he felt was palpable. There were moments where I was shocked at what I was reading thinking holy shit, she did not just write that!!!! But then, there were others times where I was fanning myself from the scorching hot sex scenes that were so bloody taboo and AMAZINGLY written. Then I’d swing full circle and have tears in my eyes, feeling both characters emotional turmoil right along side them!!!!

Gods crusade or the woman he's fallen in love with. Why must a soul be tortured to decide? Why can't faith be modernized? As I read I had so many questions about religion, love and life in general.

This book is a total mind fuck and I just could not stop reading it!

Tyler’s struggle is an emotional one that is sure to stay with you long after you finish reading as it has me.

Blurb

What started out as a deal quickly became a friendship that conquered monsters.

I killed, but I escaped hell.

Emotionless. Disconnected. Cold. A mannequin. It’s what I’d become in order to survive the years held in captivity. I was able to endure the abuse and devastating loss as long as I remained detached.

But he wouldn't let me.

Crisis, the bass guitarist in my brother’s rock band, Tear Asunder. He’s cocky, rude, a total man-whore. But the rock star has far more beneath the surface of his inked skin, and he’s determined to make me laugh again.

He made me a "deal", but really, it was blackmail.

His terms were simple. Until his playful honesty became the building blocks to something unexpected. Something strong enough to pull me from the eye of the storm.

Because even though I escaped years of abuse, it didn’t mean I was free.

Haven

I woke up to my phone buzzing on the nightstand. I rolled over and put the pillow over my head. My leg muscles ached from my run last night, having pushed myself farther and longer than usual. The wind had been strong, trying to unhinge me with each step. I refused to give in. I’d win this fight. I’d kill the monsters. I’d watch them bleed until they no longer lived inside me.

But they did. My last few episodes proved that.

Buzz.

I sighed and tossed the pillow aside.

“Pick up your phone,” Crisis called through the door.

Oh, my God. “What are you doing outside my door?”

“Pick up your phone and find out.” I heard a thump on my door.

I reached over and snagged my phone.

Move it, Ice. We’re taking out the big tractor.

I scrolled.

Don’t ignore me, baby.

Third text.

I made coffee.

Fourth.

Okay, maybe not yet, but I will.

Fifth.

I’ll just sit outside your door until you get your ass out here.

I glanced at the time on the screen. Nine. “It’s Sunday. I’m going back to sleep,” I called, then tossed my phone aside and rolled over, tucking the sheet under my chin.

The door burst open and quickly shut again. Crisis leaned against it, his lips pushed together with that familiar crease between his eyes. “Our brother is a fuckin’ Terminator. I swear he has radar in his head that goes off every time I talk to you.”

My eyes narrowed in on him; he was so full of crap. “Crisis. Get out.” My brother wasn’t—

A light knock sounded on the door. “Sis?”

Shit. I sat up, making certain to keep the sheets covering me because I was wearing a pink silk negligee with skimpy spaghetti straps and it barely covered my breasts. Kat had bought it for me when I first came to live with them, along with a drawer full of panties and bras. She said, ‘every girl deserved to have beautiful negligee next to her skin.’ At first, I balked, internally of course, wanting nothing to do with anything sexy. But after a few months feeling the soft silky material on my hands as I pushed them aside in my drawer . . . I tried one of them on.

I’d never had anything but cheap clothes, and the negligee felt nice against my skin. It made me feel . . . good about myself.

Crisis crossed his arms and I couldn’t stop from glancing at his tatted biceps. Then my gaze trailed down his hard muscled body to strong thighs clothed in worn jeans hanging low on his hips.

God, where was my head? It was too early in the morning and I was wavering under the sweet clenching between my legs and the whirl in my belly. He was a rock star, a hot rock star who was always on social media. Triple hard limit.

“Haven? I just saw your door close.”

I cleared my throat and gestured to Crisis to get away from the door before my brother barged in, saw him and jumped to conclusions. He pushed away and came straight for me, his eyes sparking a mischievous glow.

My brother knocked again. “We’re going to brunch today at Georgie and Deck’s. I’d really like you to come.”

Fine. Crisis wanted to play . . . he froze halfway toward the bed when I raised my brows and smiled. He shook his head back and forth and mouthed, “Don’t do it.”

“Yeah, come in,” I yelled.

Crisis dove for the bed, threw the duvet up in the air and landed flat on his stomach, the cover settling over him just as Ream strode in. I lay frozen beneath the covers, my heart racing, and a whoosh of blood charging through my veins. My breath hitched as warm heated air brushed across my bare thigh and goose bumps popped up along my skin.

My Review

All I can say is WOW! From the moment that I read the first pages of Shattered by You, I was hooked! This is book 3 in the Tear Asunder Series and my first personal experience with the captivating writing style of Nashoda Rose.

As a standalone, this book undoubtedly holds its own. It was well written, emotionally charged and had me engrossed from the first heart wrenching pages of “A note from Haven”, until it’s final suspense filled chapters that did not disappoint. But I must confess, even though I thoroughly enjoyed this book on its own, I hadn’t even reached the final chapter before my Kindle had become the proud owner of the rest of the series. I’m officially addicted! Nashoda’s writing style and character portrayal drew me in, and left me craving to know the back stories of each and every one of the characters that I crossed paths with as I read.

Shattered by You is devoted to the story of Haven and Crisis. A story filled with an emotional rawness that I couldn’t help but become absorbed in.

Haven is Ream’s twin sister. Ream just happens to also be the lead guitarist in the rock band Tear Asunder. After finally being reunited with Haven after her years in captivity, all Ream wants is to help Haven deal with the the trauma caused from her past, and for the chance to reconnect with the sister that he thought he had lost so many years ago. The problem is, the one thing Haven doesn’t want, is to have to deal with her demons. Now don’t misunderstand, this woman is strong. Much stronger than anyone will give her credit for. But she knows the power of the nightmares that are lurking inside of her, and she knows what it would do to Ream if he was to find out the truth. Her only chance to survive the pain…to create some degree of a normal life, is to bury the darkness in the deepest part of herself and depend on the only thing that she trusts…The detached state of absolute numbness.

Which brings me to Crisis. Self professed man whore, bass guitarist for Tear Asunder and Ream’s best friend. This guy loves the rockstar lifestyle! The Gigs, the publicity and the bevy of hot one night stands. He lives a blessed life, and he has no interest in changing one thing about it…until Haven walks into his life. He knows she is off limits - she is his best friend’s sister, and not to mention all the seriously messed up shit she has gone through in her life. But he can’t help it, she gets under his skin. He sees the nightmares in her eyes. Sees past the bullshit wall that she has put up to try to protect herself, and he knows that he would do anything to be the one to change that. So basically he makes a deal with her, one which she pretty much considers to be blackmail. But it is also the only way she can keep the truth about herself, that Crisis has stumbled upon, from getting back to Ream.

I loved Haven and Crisis in this story. The way this woman, regardless of what she has been through, is absolutely determined not to give up. And the way she sees Crisis, despite how he is portrayed by the rest of the world, she sees the real him and against everything inside of her screaming not to, she likes it. Even though allowing herself to, may cause the fragile thread of control she has to unravel completely. And Crisis, laid back, quick witted with just the perfect amount of sex on legs. I started this book thinking of him as a bit of a hit it and quit it player, and I wasn’t exactly wrong, but by the time I had reached the end I was completely in love with his character. The way he would do anything, be anything just to see the light come back into Haven’s eyes. The chemistry between them is undeniable, but it was the bond of friendship that truly pulled me in. This book was emotional. heart breaking and sensual, but with moments of light heartedness and fun that is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face.

If you have enjoyed Nashoda Rose’s series in the past or Shattered by You is your first taste of Haven, Crisis and the Boys from Tear Asunder, and the unbreakable bond of family that they all share, I guarantee you that you will love this book.

Excerpt #2

I walked down the hall, pulled the elastic band on my boxers and glanced at my hard throbbing cock. “You’ll have to wait a little longer, buddy.”

“Are you really talking to your cock?”

I let go of the elastic and it snapped hard on my abdomen. Haven wasn’t making coffee; she was coming up the stairs with an armful of clothes. Fuck, she looked hot, long blonde hair messy as if she’d tossed and turned in her sleep, and she had sleepy eyes—adorable.

“Yeah. He’s angry this morning.” I stood right in the middle of the top of the stairs so if she wanted to get by, she’d need to brush up against me. It was childish, but fuck, I was a guy.

Her brows lifted. “Why is he angry?”

I smirked, loving that she was down for a little play. “Placed an ‘out of order’ sign on him.” Her brows drew together and her eyes flicked to my tented boxers.

“Doesn’t look out of order.”

I laughed and couldn’t help myself as I stroked the back of my hand down her cheek. It took her by surprise and she swayed backwards. I grabbed her arm before she toppled down the stairs and pulled her up onto the landing next to me.

A white piece of clothing slipped from the pile she was holding and fell at her feet. I smirked when I realized what it was, and took great pleasure in helping her out since there was no way she could bend over and get it without everything falling from her grasp.

I let her go and crouched, picking up the white lace panties. I held them out and her nose twitched like a rabbit sensing danger. “I like white. Prefer pink though, for future notice. And lace I love.”

She was trapped because if she snatched them from my hand, she’d drop the clothes and if she didn’t then . . . I curled them up in my palm.

“They aren’t mine,” she blurted.

God, she was cute. “Darlin’ I know they are and I love that you’re denying it. Means you care.”

Now that raised a little heat in her cheeks and I liked it. Shit, I liked it a lot because when I left a few months back, that would’ve never happened and now that was twice. She was affected by me—good to know. “I don’t care.”

I shrugged then turned to head back to my room to hide my newly acquired treasure. I had no doubt she’d search for them the second I left the house. I looked back over my shoulder and caught her eyes staring at my butt; could’ve been my back, but unlikely. Really, it didn’t matter which. I was just impressed she was eyeing me up.

“You can look, but don’t touch,” I said.

Her mouth dropped open then snapped shut. I disappeared around the corner, then heard her stomping down the hall. Haven wasn’t a stomper. She was graceful, elegant and controlled. Too controlled. And that part of her was coming down.
