Hudson Pierce-
You act so high and mighty, you and your perfect pregnant wife Alayna. With your perfect child and your perfect home.
You weren't always perfect. Your past is filled with misdeeds.
Does your wife know all your secrets?
Would she stand behind you if she did?
You think because she’s on bedrest you can protect her? How sweet.
Sleep tight, you two.
-An Old Friend.

EXCERPT
If she’d needed a day or two in bed, upset and processing and obsessively looking through pictures of the event on social media, what would that have mattered? I trusted her to come back to me when she was through her anxiety. Maybe that was the key. Maybe she wasn't punishing me —but rather, was testing me. Seeing if I was capable of actually letting her go to work and not interfering. Not showing up, cold and demanding, when she lost track of time. Because in truth, I was the one who wasn't strong enough. For all that I blamed her for giving in to her overactive mind, I was the one who worried too much. Who was overprotective. Who couldn't handle the thought of her suffering, even only slightly. She was the one who alerted me to possibilities, her mind skittering from one thing to the next even as she stayed my rock. The truth was, without me, Alayna was still brilliant and clever and lovely and big-hearted and enough. But without her, I was nothing.

Author Bio

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

Synopsis

Feminist and all around world’s greatest best friend, Lily Philips-Thomas has a rule for everything.
Rule One No matter how many proposals you receive (seventeen to be exact) don’t ever get married. Marriage is a tool of the patriarchy. Rule Two Speaking of the patriarchy, don’t fall in love with an alpha a-hole rock star that believes the sun rises and sets with him. This will only lead to heartache. Rule Three Let’s say the alpha a-hole does break your heart. Do not ever forgive him. God could be a woman but the devil is most certainly a man. Rule Four Chicks before d*cks. Never let your best friend down even if it means coming face to face with the alpha a-hole who broke your heart and wants you back.

Excerpt

Before I could reply, I was spun around, back pressed against the counter. Ash’s hand held firm to the back of my neck. His mouth slammed down on mine. All objections fled my body. Desire erupted. His tongue slid into my mouth. And I gave myself over to it. The want. The need. I’d missed him. So much. Our kiss was rabid, raw, intense. Everything we’d once had was still there only better, bigger.
My leg hiked around his waist. I was bare beneath the robe, and the hard ridge of jeans and the bulge underneath rubbed against my core, adding a little bite to my pleasure. His hand cradled my head, kept me steady. God knows I was shaking in the best way possible. A strong arm held me firmly. The robe slipped from my shoulders and gapped opened. Guess I’d done terrible work on my knot job. My hands slipped under his T-shirt, feeling the solid planes of his abs and pecs. He seemed a bit leaner than before, but slightly more muscled. I didn’t mind at all. In fact, I couldn’t wait to see.
He pulled back, reached behind him, and yanked his shirt off. Chains hung around his neck—his father’s dog tags, a guitar pick from his first concert, a pinkie ring a girl had given him. (He didn’t remember her name, just the moment—the first time he’d heard The Who on the radio.)
My fingers traveled up his chest. God, his body felt so right under my hands. It was like coming home. All these years traveling, and Asher Price’s arms were the best place I’d ever been. My mouth found his again. He clutched me tighter, so we were skin to skin, my nipples pebbling from the cold chains and from being so very turned on. He pushed against me, grinding. I fumbled for his zipper. His hands slid under my ass and we were leaving the bathroom. Somehow he managed to keep a hold on me and open the door.
“Bed,” he grunted. “I’m not fucking you in bathrooms anymore.”
Sounded good to me. I threaded my fingers through the short strands on his head. His lips brushed my ear as he laid me on the bed. He came down on top of me. I trembled, opening my legs wider, giving him more room.
“I’ve been going out of my mind over you,” he said.
Ditto. Loving or hating, we drove one another to our highest heights.
“You’re the best thing I’ve ever fucking seen. My pretty Lily. Beautiful inside and out.” His mouth fixed on the side of my neck and sucked. I groaned. Blood rushed to my sex, making me ache for him.
A shuffling noise sounded outside the door. “Wait.” I struggled against Ash’s hold.
“Fuck no,” he said. His mouth laved a path over my collarbone, my neck, finishing by nibbling along my jaw.
“Did you hear that?” I asked. Was someone eavesdropping on us? Listening in was totally okay when I did it, but not when someone else did it to me.
Ash drew back, eyes cloudy. “What? No.”
A soft knock. Shit. What a crap time for someone to come calling. Or maybe it was the best. Regret hadn’t settled in yet, but it was lurking. Were Asher and I about to make a mistake?
“Ash?” It was Lix’s voice, unsure and hesitant.
“Go the fuck away,” Ash said. He lifted a fluffy pillow from the bed and launched it at the door. That man and throwing things.
“I think we should talk about your texts.”
Ash squeezed his eyes shut in a god-give-me-patience way. “I didn’t send them. Lily did.”
Lix’s reply was slow. “Riiight.”
“I’m serious.” Poor Ash, didn’t anyone ever tell him that the more you insisted on something, the less plausible it sounded?
“I totally believe you.” He totally did not. “Listen man, I get that you might have certain feelings. And I’m cool with it, but I don’t see you that way, all right?”
“All right.” Ash had no choice but to agree. He must have realized the shortest route to Lix going away was to cooperate.
“Just to be clear, I’m strictly into vagina.”
“Got it.”
“Good talk.”
“Sorry,” I mouthed to Ash, laughing silently.
Beyond the door stayed quiet. We waited a beat to make sure Lix had left. Then when the coast seemed clear, our gazes settled on each other. The heat of the moment had dissipated. Cold reality set in. I hated him. Right. Right? Nevertheless, Ash was still between my legs. My breasts were on full display. Awkward. I scooted up the bed and closed the robe.
Ash scowled.
I looked anywhere but at him. The awkwardness ratcheted up a notch. I picked at the duvet. “That was a mistake.”
His lips pinned shut; obviously he was not happy with my revelation. “No.” His voice was so low I almost didn’t hear him. My eyes darted to his profile.
He stood. His jaw tightened. Fuck he was good looking, beautiful really. Sculptors could have carved him. He’d been mine once.
“That wasn’t a mistake. Nothing we’ve ever done together was a mistake.” He knelt on the bed so he was close to me. He cupped my cheek.
I had nothing.
“Now, I’m going to kiss you again, and not because I’m pissed you sent some ridiculous texts from my phone. I’m going to kiss you because I want to. Because I want you. And you’re going to kiss me back.” He grazed my lips, softly but surely. “I’m going out of my mind over you,” he murmured against my mouth. A sigh swept through my body, my soul. I closed my eyes. Kissed Ash back.
And just like that, my sworn enemy turned into my friend with benefits.

*** RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW *** Family Ties by Stephie Walls

Release Date: June 21, 2018
Cover Design: Wicked by Design

Synopsis

With a history like ours, the meaning of the word family tended to tangle into something unrecognizable. DNA and bloodlines didn’t tie us together, and neither did our last names. Various shades of grey blurred the branches of our twisted family tree.
I wasn’t her brother. They weren’t my parents. Not that it mattered… She was off limits. Portia was my friend. Then my foster sister. And she’d always be the love of my life.

Goodreads

4 “Lemon Pie” Stars   What a sweet atypical friends to lovers story. Two foster kids who grew up together and then lines gets blurred and their relationship changes in ways they never expected. Their story was sweet, a bit angsty and watching them grow and learn to love was exactly what I’d hoped for.

*Will*
When I saw how spotless the shared living space was, I allowed my curiosity to get the better of me and peeked my head into her bathroom, Rocky dancing around my feet as I entered the space. The counters were covered in woman-products, but the marble surface and sink were free of water spots, and the glass of the shower had been wiped clean. I glanced at Rocky. He glanced at me. Bemused, I chuckled to myself, about to turn back to the door, and that’s when I spotted it. A dildo. A big, Pyrex dildo. With ridges. In the shower. I froze, blinked, and I stared at it, my brain sluggish. Oddly, I had to remind myself to breathe. Likely because I was . . . I was— I was shocked. I shook myself, tearing my eyes from it and rubbing my chest where an odd kind of pang was spreading mild warmth up my neck. But why was I shocked? Why should I be surprised? Despite my never seeing her that way, Josey was a woman and women have needs. Don’t they? I hadn’t grown up around women—any women. My mother died when she had my youngest brother. My grandmother died before I was born. I had no sisters. We lived on a farm, way out in BFN Oklahoma. Girls—women—and their bodies were sacred lands of the unknown to us Moore boys. Unbidden—completely unbidden—an image of Josey flashed through my mind’s eye. Her full lips parted, her big eyes closed, causing her thick black lashes to catch droplets of water before they dripped over her sharp cheekbones. Her head would be lolled back as shower spray melted bubbles of slippery soap, sliding down her bare skin as they dissolved. Her legs would be parted, and maybe one hand would be braced against the wall of the shower while the other moved in a steady rhythm. Holding that huge, glass dildo. I swallowed a sudden rush of salvia and, unable to help myself, I leaned closer to the sex toy, examining it and comparing its size against my own. I was bigger. But not by much. And for some reason, this realization made me instantly hard. Crap. Of course I knew Josey was a woman, but until this moment, I’d never really thought of her that way. Not even the tampon-mountain drove the point home. Up until this point, she was someone I liked as a person, someone who made me laugh, who was smart and compassionate, someone around whom I felt completely comfortable. A good—no, a great companion. She was still all of those things, except— Except now I’ve pictured her naked. 5 “Watching” Stars

So unique. A completely different kind of story line. Characters that are totally atypical. Cosway and Reid are wonderful together. They’re able to take a (slightly weird) unusual heroine and a (Not your everyday) new kind of hero and make me fall in love with them. Their relationship had a completely organic feel to it and they’ve become one of my ew favorite couples.

***RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW*** Crazy Stupid Love by KL Grayson

Title: Crazy Stupid Love
A Dirty Dicks Standalone Novel
Author: K.L. Grayson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 20, 2018

Blurb

There’s a special place in hell for a man like me—a man who shamelessly sleeps with his best friend’s little sister, knowing he’ll never be what she needs. A man who takes because the only thing he has to offer in return is a broken past that’s destined to destroy his future.

I was the kid who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks with shit parents and clothes that had been handed down one too many times. I stole to feed my sister, fought to protect her, and I’ll always be the guy your parents don’t want you to bring home.

So yeah, that’s me. Lincoln Bennett. Adley Allen’s walk on the wild side. Her dirty little secret. And I’m okay with that—ninety-nine percent of the time. Unfortunately today is in that one percent when it doesn’t sit well with me. For some strange reason, I want to be around to celebrate all of Adley’s successes. I want to be here when she gets her first job and take her out to dinner after her first shift. I want to be the one she depends on, the person she calls when she has a bad day. Or a great day. Or any kind of day.

I want more than her body. I want her heart. But men like me don’t get women like her.

At least not to keep.

Review
I keep saying each book is my fave.  I changed my mind it's this one!! GAH i loved it!!

I've actually fell in love with this series.  It's made me care about each and every character i there and that's my favorite thing to find in a series.

Up now is little sister Adley.  We've had hints throughout the series that Adley and Lincoln are bumping uglies and we join them after the fact.

Both Adley and Linc are feeling more than they should for a casual fling.  In the beginning that was what they both agreed to but as time has gone on they both want more.

Adley is coming to the end of her exams to become a nurse so she knows her time with Linc could be limited as she'll be job hunting and not spending as much time in his town.

Linc is having a tough time with his father and trying to earn enough money to look after him and his sister.  He knows he's not good enough for Adley but he can't bring himself to let her go so he decides to give it a shot.

They both agree to be more but of course this is when all the complications come in.  Adley has personal problems and Linc is struggling with his Father.  Can they make it even till they get the chance to tell her family?

Love love love love loved it.  These books have such a good feel to them my heart fills even before i pick them up!

I loved Adley, have done from the start but you see more of her straight talking in this book.  I loved how she wasn't afraid to come out and say how she feels.  I also loved her sweetness.  She wanted to look after Linc when no one else had ever before.  Simple things like doing his washing made me smile.

Linc is just EVERYTHING!! I mean hot bull rider, sexy as sin, alpha bossypants, loyal, honorable, dominant, sweet, caring, lovely honestly his only downside was not being able to express himself properly! lol All the rest YES YES YES!

Start to finish i was captured in the web of the Dirty Dicks family.  I think that's my favorite thing about this series is the feel of it.  We get to know everyone we come across and get to really care for them.  It's amazing catching up with everyone i can't wait for Rhett and Mo's wedding and for the proposal i'm sure Trevor will soon be delivering.  And finally we meet the illusive Beau!! Looks like Cooper's is gonna be last i can't wait to see him fall!!

The ending had me tearing up and jumping up and down with joy.  Totally perfect for them!!

I can't get enough of this series.  It really is becoming one of my absolute faves.  Bring on the next!!

Highly recommend.  Brilliantly written series which will steal your heart!

Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she’s built upside down. This time around, she won’t make the same mistake.         He stared at me for a long moment. “You’re sure she’s mine?” “She’s yours.” “Then that’s good enough.” “I—really?” I blinked. He didn’t want to verify paternity? He just . . . trusted me? He nodded. “Really.” “I swear, I tried to find you, Logan. On my life, I swear it. But the hotel wouldn’t give me your name no matter how much I begged. And you paid cash for your drinks and never mentioned your last name. I tried, but I just . . . didn’t know where to start.” “It’s not your fault. I believe you.” The sincerity in his voice made my throat burn. Goddamn it. I was going to cry. I’d worked so hard not to cry today. I’d fought to keep my emotions in check and my head from spinning out of control. But this was going to make me break. I wanted so badly for Logan to believe that I hadn’t kept Charlie from him intentionally. The fact that a man like him would trust someone like me without proof meant more than he’d ever know. “Thank you,” I choked out past the lump in my throat. “So, um, is Charlie inside with your husband? Or boyfriend?” The urge to cry disappeared and I barked out a laugh. “Smooth.” He chuckled. “It’s been a long day for me. Give me a break, will you? This morning I was in New York, then I came to Montana for a business meeting and discovered a daughter. I’m off my game.”   4 “Trust” Stars

My first novel by this author was sweet and so lovely. A secret baby, second chance is like romance crack. Unless he risks it all to save her.

REVIEW

Well... kinda speechless here... Very unique story, thought provoking, mysterious and just simply amazing.

JB Salsbury is the writer of my favorite MMA Series ever and i love how she's spreading her wings into something completely different. Loved it!

Milo is a 20 year old ex gang member who is trying to go straight. He was the prince of the gang and his life was mapped out for him before birth. He found himself and his brothers left alone after his father disappears. They go into foster care and adapt to a normal life. He goes to school to get some qualifications and a job as a janitor there gives him a chance to save some money so he can look after his brothers himself.

His foster parents decide to foster a girl named Mercy and bring her into the family.

Like Milo, Mercy's destiny had been mapped out. She was pure and made to believe she could save mankind. After being sheltered all her life she struggles to adapt to a normal teenage life. Nothing makes sense to her but she knows if she doesn't try she will be locked away again. She doesn't remember much of her past and maybe that's a good thing.

Milo feels a strange pull to her and they form an unlikely friendship that takes them on a journey of discovery and leaves them facing maybe an even worse future than their pasts.

SSSSSOOOOOO BLOODY GOOD!!! Honestly i loved every second of this book. It's so thought provoking every step of the way i had so many questions and theories i honestly don't know whats going to happen next. Not even a wild guess. I'm a huge mystery/thriller fan and this ticks all the right boxes.

It's a consistent pace that will leave you unwilling to put it down. I found myself stopping from time to time just to let things sink in and to try and figure out what might happen and then i'd read on and that theory would be blown out the water! lol I love a book that keeps me on my toes. So often you read a book and you know the formula, you've read it a thousand times over but this one? Nu Uh no way have you read this one before! Brilliant!

Mercy will have your heart cracking wide open. I'm imagining all sorts of things that have happened to her and none of it is good. She'll draw you in and make you feel everything. The struggle between her past and her present for her is huge. She goes on such a journey and i love how she embraces everything. She takes her time to process and then fearlessly goes for it.

Milo is just... I fell for him. Simple as that. He's so good. Even with his past you know he has a heart of gold for those he loves. He would do anything to look after them and Mercy gets pulled into his affections and included in his family. I was swooning all over the place for him. The way he is with her. The way he is with his brothers. And that darn accent... Swoooooon!!

This isn't a sexy story it's a love story that's building and building between two unlikely matched characters. You can feel what they have, from their first meeting there's a spark that ignites and it slowly grows bigger and bigger. I think by the time their story concludes it will be epic.

I loved the plot and the storyline. The writing is superb and draws you into their world. I can't stop thinking about what is going to happen next. I sincerely hope we don't have to wait too long for Saint because the puzzle is driving me crackers!

I can't recommend this book highly enough. One of my best reads this year and i'm certain the conclusion will catapult it to the top.

Genius!!!

5 Guera Stars!!
