My Review

I love love love Jett and Brooke, and I have to tell you honestly that this book killed me a little bit! 

We pick up pretty much where The Lover’s Secret leaves off, with Brooke seeing what she believes is Jett cheating on her with this ex. Right from the beginning I start to feel emotions toward Brooke’s character that I’ve never felt before… anger and annoyance! I was shocked that Ms. Reed could evoke those feelings in me toward one of my beloved characters!!! 

I have to tell you this book is definitely a wee bit of a mind fuck this time around and 
I LOVE IT! 

This book is so full of so many crazy ups and downs... we are treated to some lust, suspense, confusion and above all else the promise of MORE!

As The Lover's Game continues we have Brooke feeling betrayed and hurt…rightfully so, but it’s here I take my first issue with her. SHE DOESN’T CONTRONT HIM!!!!! 

She simply decides its over and heads back to her pre- Jett life and ways. 
It’s here I’m thinking…Are you CRAZY it’s 

JETT MAYFIELD!!! Hello??? Talk to him…gahhhh!! 
Hence my annoyance!

We now have a hurt Brooke deciding that she and her baby will live their lives without Jett. She decides to move back in with Silvie and to get a new job. 

Here’s where the anger happens….

Then while out at a club with her new work girlfriends she not only decides to drink alcohol (ummm hello your preggers!!) but she’s there pretty much there with the intention to hook up in order to help wipe Jett from her mind. It’s once she meets Check, the sexy stranger at the club that I start to get PISSED!!

The encounter is hot and sexy, but I can’t believe what I’m reading!
 I swear I almost had to stop reading here, throw my kindle and have a temper tantrum. But I persevere and THANK GOD I do because WOW! Just WOW! I wasn’t expecting that! 
And it’s HOT!!!! 

Well played J.C, well played! (good thing, because we might have had words woman!) 
(I'm not so pissed now!)

Finally, Jett manages to confront Brook and tries to explain that it was indeed his ex that made the advances and that if she had have stuck around she would have seen him tell her off. He professes his love and simply can't believe she would doubt him. Of course Brooke doesn’t believe our sexy Jett and basically tells him it’s over….
 100% Killing me!!

There are so many more twists and turns along the way and our story ends with a cliffy big enough to leave us feeling incomplete; with the need to know where exactly Jett and Brooke stand! J.C's built a pretty suspenseful story that I'm completely intrigued with and can't wait to see what the hell is going on! There is some crazy ass stuff happening in the background and there is some definite 
'what the hell' moments happening???

Talk about one hell of a crazy ride!  Days later I’m still thinking about this book and how it was not at all what I was expecting and how badly J.C has left me longing for the next.
