Now I am left wondering if it's possible that just as life can cause pain, it can also heal wounds in a heartbeat.

This line sums up the book perfectly!! Lynae has been carrying around a secret for the past 8 years that has been holding her back from the world. She has her best friend in the world Sly who has been there through the loss of her mother and the growing pains that come in life but even he had no idea about her heart ache. Then a chance encounter at a night club with her 2 other friends she meets the lead singer of Shameful Regret Connor. To make her friends happy and because for the first time in 8 years she can stand the touch of a man she decides to dance with him but when her nightmare comes to the forefront of her mind she runs. Thinking she will never see the sex on a stick that is Connor again. But fate had other ideas that start a love story that will have you at times curled up in the fetal position bawling your eyes out and then the next fanning yourself and hoping your kindle doesn’t combust.

 Not only are Lynae and Connor totally lovable add in the other members of Shameful Regret and Lynae’s 2 girlfriends and you get a rollercoaster of a book. I love how Liz King(author) was able to bring the whole group into the story and have you falling in love with each one but still managing to keep the story between Lynae and Connor at the forefront.

This book had me from the get go. I found myself crying along with them and laughing myself stupid at the banter between them all. And Connor good grief he is a tattooed, pierced rocker that as Lynae said “he’s not just sex on a stick…he’s sex on a telephone pole.” Even though you can feel the love he has for his friends and Lynae he carries around his own demons that cause a lot of friction in his life. We don’t learn much about it in this book but lord I love that man already and can’t wait to catch up with him and the rest of the gang in the next book.

I would defiantly recommend this book!
