My Review
I read Borrowed Tyme when it was released as part of A Secret Affair anthology. It was the most emotional novella in the collection for me. It was also one of the most taboo and probably the sexiest. I was kind of devastated when it was over because I loved it so much. I was so excited when I learned that it was being expanded into a full length novel. And if you haven't read Borrowed Tyme, it's included in Stolen Tyme so you will get the whole reading experience.
Stolen Tyme picks up after Naomi and X have been separated for years while Naomi has become famous for her dance and X has spend time raising his daughter, though neither have really moved on. When Naomi comes back home for some rest and relaxation and to put some of the press coverage of her breakdown behind her, she begins teaching dance classes. One of the girls in the class is X's daughter and while she can't stand to remember him, she falls for his daughter. But being back home means being back in X's circle and he seems as inescapable as her feelings for him. As they try to wade through their feelings for each other, reality is another thing altogether. And hurt feelings, rash decisions and harsh words open wounds that were just beginning to heal. Naomi has to decide if she can truly forgive X or if she just needs to move on once and for all.
I really enjoyed the continuation of X and Naomi's story. It had heat and sexy times galore plus the addition of seeing them both in different, more mature roles was fun too. I wanted them to work through things but honestly there were times that X made it really hard. I loved that Naomi stuck up for herself and really made X work for it. And by the end I've become a fan of Ms. Ziegler and am excited to go back through her catalogue and catch up.
