I have no idea what I was expecting but for some reason it wasn't that. It is exactly what the title says it is…an Interview with a Master.
Jason Luke writes an entire book on a man- Jonah Noble- and how he got involved in the BDSM world.
Jonah is being interviewed by a young woman- Leticia- who is writing an article for her internship in hopes to make a career as a journalist.
Leticia and Jonah meet up every day for several weeks to complete this very detailed interview on how Jonah got into the BDSM world as well as some of his most profound experiences in the lifestyle and some of his submissives. Leticia is not very experienced and listening to Jonah’s stories and insights leave her fantasizing about what it might be like to venture into the world Jonah lives in.
Jonah also talks a lot about how he thinks women feel and why all of a sudden they might be a bit more curious of this alternate lifestyle, as well as why a man might be more reluctant to venture into anything new or different.
Jonah finds himself reacting to Leticia in a way he has never really reacted before. All his ‘relationships’ before have been about sex, control, providing and receiving pleasure. No feelings of love have ever been involved but he is finding it harder and harder to deny the feelings he is developing for Leticia.
There is a motto throughout the book “ Do ut des” (I give that you may give). During the book Jonah using this motto to learn more about Leticia and her life as well as some of her deepest desires. He will answer any questions she has as long as she answers his right back with compete honesty.
When the finality of the interview has come, Jonah has answered every question Leticia has answered….except one. The answer to that question would change everything for both of them and he refuses to allow that to happen.
This is definitely not a story for everyone and I can see reviews going both ways on this. But if you are interested in or reading about the lifestyle then I would give this book a chance. Jonah is very intense and extremely honest and detailed in the dynamics of how a Master may operate. Not all Masters are the same, all have different rules and guidelines.
This is unlike anything I have ever read before. I have read my fair share of stories involving BDSM but this was completely different. It really is an interview and feels like you are reading a documentary or sitting in an auditorium listening to a lecture on the lifestyle.
“Women don’t want to be forced to their knees. They want to be made to feel weak at the knees. Husbands and lovers need to make the woman in their life feel conquered.”

“I need you to write my story. Hell, I need you in my life. I like the way you smile. I like your sweet beautiful innocence. And I want you around me. I feel happy when we’re together. But I’ll never love you, Leticia,” I shook my head sorrowfully. “I’ll never love you.”

I have to say the ending of the book was both my highlight and downfall. I am left feeling sad? Empty? I don’t know. It was a GREAT ending just…idk. I hope there will be a second edition to the very interesting story of Jonah Noble.

About the Author
Jason Luke enjoyed several years involved in the BDSM lifestyle - but he is quick to point out that his experiences don't qualify him as an expert, any more than knowing how to drive a car makes him a qualified mechanic. 'Interview with a Master' is a novel about how one man became a Master. The book is a work of fiction, but Jason has drawn heavily on encounters from his own real life. He won't say which parts of the book are fictionalised, and which parts are auto-biographical.
Erotic BDSM fiction written by a man from a man's point of view.
