Synopsis
Wealthy New York socialite Grace Preston uses men for amusement, holding her heart inside an ice fortress for protection. Spurned by a sociopathic male model, Grace picks up a new man with all the right moves; smooth as bourbon, Cole slides under her wall and touches her in places she thought were well-guarded. But after a weekend of fiery passion, he leaves, devastating her.
Cole Grayson has spent ten years building his commercial real estate firm and chasing the arsonist who killed his family when he was a boy. Women are a dalliance, and have no place in his personal quest. Then Grace rocks his world—not only sexually, but in her arms, his nightmares cease. To protect her, he pushes her away; he’s close to finding the culprit and Grace must not get tangled in the cross-fire.
When women matching Grace’s description start turning up dead in Central Park, Cole is forced to divide his influence between personal revenge and protection for the woman he has come to love. But throwing money at the problem only goes so far. Grace is in danger—can he get to her in time?
My Review
If your looking for a book that is suspenseful, thrilling, steamy story of love, lust, revenge and murder then this is it! This book kept me on the edge of my seat with all the twist and turns!
I was hooked from beginning! We meet Grace Preston. Beautiful, Wealthy, former model who recently broke up with her arrogant ass hole model boyfriend. Grace is ready to move on and forget him. Her best friend and room mate Michelle decide to go have drinks and have a night out. While out with her best friend she meets Cole Grayson. Sexy, Confident, Billionaire with a smile to melt your panties off!:)
All I could think of while watching him approach was sex and how good he would taste.
He exuded sexuality. It was like a glow outlining his body.
He was so beautiful he was almost pretty.
You will be fanning yourself after these two go at it!;)
Little did they know their pasts are about to collide and make it more conflicted with their feelings.
Cole wasn't looking for a relationship and has worked so hard the past 17 years to keep his feelings in tack and just have one night stands. No strings attached. He is seeking revenge for his family that was murdered when he was little. He is struggling with his feelings for Grace. He has fallen for her but can not explain to her what's going on and he asks her to please wait for him.
Grace has fallen for Cole. She is trying to stay detached from him but who is she kidding, their chemistry is off the charts! She is so confused on what to do but her heart knows.
She wants to wait for Cole, but for how long??
"Grace, I am not going to just let you go and walk out of my life, you've got to know that."
During this time there is a serial killer on the loose and he is sick and twisted.
The murder scenes are very descriptive and you can tell just how evil the killer really is!
Coincidentally he is killing Blond hair, blue eyed girls which look like Grace!
Cole believes that Grace is the next target so Cole does all that he can to protect her.
This book will keep your mind reeling trying to figure it out. I really liked how there was the killers POV. You could get inside his demented evil head! It gave me chills!
You also go back and forth from Grace and Cole's POV as well! You will fall in love with them!
They were perfect for each other!
I don't want to say too much about the plot because it will give too much away but this is a MUST read! Like I said if you are looking for a romance, thriller, and suspense story then this is your book!
You will not be disappointed!:)
