Sometimes, there are those amazing stories that grip you from the very beginning and next thing you know, those characters have sucked you completely into their world. This book was one of those for me. By the end of Nix and Kadence’s story, I had come to adore so many of these funny, gorgeous and completely loveable characters. Specially one sexy, brooding biker named Sylas. I found myself laughing often at the hilarious moments between Nix and Kadence, their banter was funny, cute and It really made me love them even more. I absolutely loved that these two and the secondary characters had depth and emotion behind them. I FELT every emotion they did throughout the entire book. For me, this is a major reason why I believe it deserves every one of the five stars I am rating it. River portrayed their feelings and emotions in a way that made you feel like everything was happening all around you. I felt their pain, their happiness, their love, their insecurities, everything. Her writing was nothing short of amazing. 

Don’t even get me started on the sex scenes, HOT DAMN! Those raunchy scenes had me launching myself at my husband, they were erotic, hot and down right dirty. 

Now, I love a good biker book and I have read many, and Incandescent did not disappoint. It is a lot less gritty than others you may have read in this genre. It’s something a little different while still being based around a motorcycle club and all that comes with being a part of one. I thoroughly enjoyed reading a lighter, funnier mc romance for a change. 

I was so thrilled to be a beta reader for the lovely River Savage. She has certainly released one hell of a debut, I can not wait for more of this series. It is sure to be amazing!

This is the debut novel from the beyond talented River Savage. Honestly after reading Incandescent I am truly a fan girl of River’s and will read everything and anything this woman is willing to give us.

From the Prologue I was hooked and just knew that it was going to be a story that I was going to fall head over heels in love with. There was just something in the writing and the way I felt instantly connected to Kadence that propelled me to quit my life and become completely absorbed in seeing how this story was going to play out.

Kadence is such an amazing character! I can’t stand needy and whiney chicks, and thank goodness Kadence is the polar opposite, she is nothing but fierce, independent, snarky (which I love love love! ) and above all she’s just sooooo very likeable (she had so many moments where I was gushing and blushing over her!) I loved getting to know her, which is kinda unusual for me, because normally I’m all about giving all my love to the male lead. But Kadence was just one of those characters that held her own throughout the book and was so easy to connect with. 

Nix!!!!!! Oh the crazy hot assed of a man that is Nix! Talk about ALPHA GOD on STEROIDS!!! This character is seriously what made the term “panty dropping” come to be! Holy fucking dirty mouth Batman! Nix will have you panting, blushing, gushing, even possibly giving yourself carpal tunnel, as you will be quite honestly looking for sexual release of your own! Therefore, have husband, boyfriend, fuck buddy or B.O.B on standby! He is just so charismatic and his ability to turn everything into a sexual innuendo is so crazy that he will have you craving him even when the book is done!  

As for the story it self …it’s fucking amazingly beautiful! I found the book so well written, there were never parts where I skipped ahead or found lagging. I was so wrapped up in Kadence and Nix’s journey to each other that I read it literally in a day, each time I had my greedy hands on it. Kadence and Nix have so much chemistry and sexual compatibility that is was seeping and oozing off the pages. I just loved the emotional journey that I found myself taking while reading Incandescent. One minute I would be laughing at the witty banter between the feisty Kadence and dirty-mouthed Nix, then I’d find myself shedding a some tears, then within the next few pages I’d be all hot and bothered! What a ride! I just couldn’t stop reading! The best part for me is that River manages to maintain the emotional ride all throughout the book, which for me is a sure sign of an amazing writer.

Besides being filled with some of the hottest fucking sex scenes I’ve ever read, the plot and character development was consistent and well developed she easily sets up the foundation for more books to come in the series. The secondary characters are just as intriguing as Nix and Kadence that I’m now left sitting on pins and needles waiting for the next book. Umm GET ON THAT YESTERDAY RIVER! I need more!

This story is a must read! I promise you will be gushing just as much as me and you will take a piece of Kadence and Nix into your heart as I have!

WOW! Where do I even start with reviewing this book? Affliction was heartbreakingly brilliant. It was full of powerful emotions, so beautifully written, that the words seeped into my soul and left their mark. I soaked up every feeling, every smile, every word of this amazing story and it’s compelling characters. Sy and Holly’s journey to make peace with their pasts and find happiness for their futures, is a journey I will never forget. It felt so real and raw, I could have stayed wrapped up in the world of the Knights Rebels and their families forever. The story unfolds effortlessly, River’s writing and storytelling abilities clearly evident for all to see, she has given us such an incredible novel and has set the bar high for MC books out there. This hot biker series has it all, if you haven't yet got yourself aquatinted with the Knights Rebels I highly recommend you one click now.

Oh, SY….</b> This man, this sex on a stick, brooding man who barely speaks had me at hello. After reading Incandescent, I wanted to know Sy’s story, BAD! He intrigued me greatly. He was quiet, covered in tattoos, loyal to his brothers, and kinda mean, pretty much all the time. So needless to say, this gorgeous biker caught my attention. He was my kinda man and hot damn, did he live up to every expectation I ever had of him. 

Sylas Dean’s past has shaped him into the man he is today, his former life no longer plays any part in his world, except for in his dreams.

The anger flowing through my veins never leaves. The hurt seeping from my pores never stops.

Sy is one of the brothers in the Knights Rebels motorcycle club, Rushford chapter. He lives and breathes the biker lifestyle and is loyal to a fault. He’s happy, he’s okay with how his life is. You can’t change the past, right? If Sy could, he would. That is until everything changes the night he sets eyes on the smokin’ hot blonde running her mouth in the club’s tattoo shop he manages. 

Enter, Holly. She’s sassy, she’s sexy and she’s everything Sy doesn’t need or want. But Holly has other ideas.

Holly is a crack up, the girl is hilarious. She is all for a good time, that is until troubles with her best friend and the MC end up getting her caught in the crossfire of a very horrific event. The loss, the heartache, the pain, the what-if’s and what-could-of-been. They both go through the motions of life, without feeling, without moving forward, can Sy and Holly lean on each other, bring out the demons and lay them to rest. Can his affliction, be her resurrection?

This book had my emotions running wild, my mental state somewhat questionable if you ask my husband as I sat beside him reading it on my kindle for the millionth time. Whether it was the first read or the fourth, each and every time I devoured another moment of Sy and Holly I felt every feeling lift of the page in front of me. Tears were spilled, crazy giggles were heard, cheeks were flushed and I was left one very happy reader.

River Savage fractured my poor fragile heart with this instalment in her kickass MC series, the passion and hard work put into this story has truly made it an outstanding read. I now have very high hopes for book three and I can.not.wait! Bring on Jesse!

If you love hot alpha male bikers, sassy strong women, kickass secondary characters bundled up into an emotional, hot, funny story then this book will have you hanging off of every word. Thank you River for this all consuming, crazy amazing novel, beta reading this baby was a pleasure.

It’s a twister…it’s a twister…umm actually no its that friggin’ River Savage with her second installment in the Knights Rebels’ MC Affliction.

Let me tell you it sure as shit does feels like a tornado…an emotional all-consuming one, and I fucking loved every second of it! 

Affliction sucks you in immediately and turns your emotional state around and around, twisting you this way, then that way, all the while simply tearing though your heart and reeking havoc like a mother-fucking cyclone! 

If you thought Incandescent was good, well things are about to get a whole lot better! With Affliction River Savage has completely upped the ante and I swear this woman’s writing is becoming a HUGE force to be reckoned with. Look out literary world; River Savage is here to stay! Between the vivid scenes she creates with her beautifully chosen penned words and the emotions she elicits through the creation of some of the most incredible characters to ever to grace the pages of a book, Sy and Holly will suck you in and leave you in an emotional tailspin that will last all 45 chapters. 

Oh my, Oh my, OH MY!!! I AM SOOOOOOOOO IN LOVE WITH SY AND HOLLY!!!

I cannot even properly articulate the words to accurately express just how much these two affected me as I read there beautifully troubled story. You know those books where you are just so into, you kind of hit pause on your life to sit and devour? Well… 

THIS IS THAT BOOK! But I have to share that I found myself forcing myself to slow down and put it down for a bit, because I was finding I was reading it way to fast and that pretty soon I’d be done and be left DEVISTATED that I’d finished so fast!

Holly and Sy’s story is different that what I expected…aside from being filled with the hot hot HOT, sizzling HOT and yummy sex scenes that Savage is known for since writing Incandescent she has gifted us now with a gut-wrenchingly and heart warming story that will stay with you FOREVER! I mean FOREVER! 

Days later I’m still thinking and smirking over my feelings for this book as well as what exactly Ms. Savage’s masterful plot and smooth talking characters put me though! River Savage unleashed a tornado onto by emotional being I swear and left me stunned in its wake. There really are no words for me to use to honestly tell you how happy sad and wonderful this book made me feel! If I could climb into this book and stay there, I honestly think I would deem it my “Happy place”.

Affliction is a Total BOOK HANGOVER PEOPLE…trembling with emotional aftershocks; a complete lack wanting to admit or acknowledge to myself it’s over. In utter denial, ahhh, I need to read it again and again feeling.

Not a supporter of spoilers, I refuse to talk too much plot detail, so you will just need to one- click the shit out of it to see for yourself just how AMAZING this read truly is!

Once again River introduces us to characters that will steal your heart and make you wish you knew them personally. With real life problems, emotions and incredible honesty Sy and Holly are sure to burrow their way into your book loving heart as they have mine and take up permanent residency. Jesus, I fell in love with them hard! 

They have honestly made it onto my list of favourite literary couples EVER! 

I will never forget them! *sigh…love…eppp…squee..I LOVE THEM!

Let’s talk all tings Sy’s! That sexy eruption of maleness that is Sylas! 

Sy’s character is simply…beautiful, thoughtful, supportive and OMG, so very very much in need of peace…peace from his past, a past that as you read will have you wanting to throw your e-reader and go rock yourself into calm, Zen like state in a corner, as you watch him face his torment and struggle! Oh my aching heart! 

With the use of flashbacks to help the reader understand Sy, Savage will destroy your emotional state and seriously make you want to reach into the book and hug the ever-loving shit out of him. I swear the writing of these flashback scenes is incredible you WILL NEED A BOX KLEENEX and a support system to help you cope at times! 

And I have to say I LOVED every crazy minute of this emotional journey! The way Sy fights his past in order to succumb to his future was just so touching and beautiful that I have never honestly rooted for a hero as much as I did for Sylas! I loved what Holly did for him and the man is was able to become with her light! *ahhh! I fucking love him!

Oh my Holly! I loved her with every fiber of my being!!! She is such and amazing heroine! I swear this chick in incredible! Emotional, strong, snarky, cheeky and best of all in need of Sy…the light to her darkness! I just felt this crazy connection to her character and just was an emotional wreck for her and all that she’s been through. 

God, one page she’d make me cry then laugh in the next sentence, she is such a resilient woman and I could not have asked for a better girl for MY Sy!

Together, Sy and Holly are a wet dream! Both beautiful inside and out and so crazily wonderfully fucked up their journey to get the closure they needed individually and as a couple was one for the record book! 

I mean EPIC! 

Never have I been so torn up emotionally while reading. I loved every second River has written of this story and I am soooo deeply invested with Holly and Sy I’m not sure I can even bother reading another book at this point. Fark! It's soooooooooooo fucking good, goosebumps, nose twitches, tears, and a big ass motherfucking grin! 

I have a huge LADYBONER for you River Savage! I am 100% in awe of your writing capabilities and I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE WOMAN!

There is raw beauty behind this incredibly well written story and now I’m reeling from all the emotional turmoil.

I feel like I’ve been on the mother of all emotional roller coaster rides while reading this novella about Nix and Kadence, our Knights Rebels president and his sassy wife. Reclaimed tore my heart out because it felt so real and hit so close to home for me. It shattered me to see Nix and Kadence struggle with such a real issue that many new parents face when bringing a child into this world. Thankfully, piece by piece my heart was carefully mended back together, but not without working out those struggles and finding a way to make everything fit back together perfectly. To make it work. 

Once again our favourite Knights Rebels family members make appearances in Reclaimed and we get to see them up to their usual antics. Except for Jesse… What an introduction for his book. If we didn’t want to know more of Jesse’s story before, we sure do now! 

While this is most definitely a powerful, emotional read, touching on a heavy issue, it also has humorous moments tucked in there to lighten it up. This variety along with River’s talented story telling capabilities, gives us one hell of a novella. An amazing story line written to perfection. Thank you River for giving me the opportunity to beta read this heartbreakingly beautiful tale of new love, rekindled love and family love.

Simply put thank you. Thank you for taking such a sensitive topic and making it okay. Okay to admit “Hey that was me!” As I sit here and type this letter I’m honestly in tears, crying for a past I over came, crying at this amazing novella that has resonated so deeply into my soul and being.

I’m solo (hehe) in awe how your ability to take our discussions and turn certain tid-bits from them into something beautiful. Something I’m not ashamed to admit I went thought. 

I can’t review Reclaimed I can only relate, respect and be completely in love with it. I thought I loved Nix and Kadence before, but holy fuck balls do I now. No one in the Kights MC will ever top them for me now, not after witnessing them overcoming this! Together, as a team! 

Mr. and Mrs. Knight are truly an inspiration!

Love truly does prevail. In fiction… and in life.

I cannot tell you how so fucking proud of you I am. Proud of you for caring enough to research this sensitive topic; always being compassionate, taking the time to ask the right questions, worrying about timelines, accuracy, feelings, and the emotions. And oh boy did you ever kill the emotions part. I often felt like I was looking into my own life, experiencing Kadence’s turmoil while wanting so much to reach in and grab and comfort the incredible man that is Nix, the man who stood by like a rock waiting for his love to return.

Even after having read it a few times now, I can’t not think back to certain scenes without getting completely emotional and teary. I’m in awe of your ability to take an embarrassing moment such as screaming in the bathroom and make me feel like that was okay, that it was just something that needed to be done, something than maybe others have done too.

Nix and Kadence are sure to leave you gaping like a jealous voyeur at the insane sex scenes River has penned this time around…. holy panty changes needed! Make up sex really is the best! And Nix and Kadence more than make of for the months they missed out!

Paradox for me was lots of fun to read. It had it’s emotional moments, but boy did I enjoy seeing these bikers be badass. The concept was brilliant and with River’s writing talents this short story unfolded smoothly and kept me intrigued page after page. I finished Paradox and wanted more immediately. River’s story telling leaves craving for more from these loyal, loving, challenging characters. A very interesting take on the Knights Rebels series, I LOVED IT!

River Savage strikes again and this time she fucks with our beloved couple Nix and Kadence. 

Thank god Paradox is really just that. I don't even think I could have dealt with this Paradox being true. 

Paradox is about all the What If's we choose in life. What if I choose this path, this job? What if I wasn't there?? What if Nix was bad? The Rebels a scary MC? Gah the horror!!

River takes our Favourite MC's and makes them unlike a club we've know before and I must say its one hell of a deliciously twisted ride full of gasps, oh my god's and no no no it can't be's. 

Thank god this isn't really the way things exist in out perfect Rebel world. I don't even think I could handle it. 

I must say I kinda loved me a bad Nix. I swear even through his badassness I could see his sweet spot for Kadence all the way through. You can take the goodness out if the Nix but you can't take the Kadence out of Nix. 

Savage fans you will love the crazy emotionally charged action packed ride that River has penned and you will so love seeing that even though we choose a different path our destiny's just might be the same.
