No one does a broken hero better than Shana Vanterpool. I couldn't put this down all day. I read it on three different devices so I could keep reading no matter where I was. So much broken hearted perfection in these pages.
Mad Love is a story about two broken and bruised people who find unexpected solace in the very last person they ever expected. Klatyon and Madison are on opposite paths. Madison grew up with everything Klayton never had. But life took a dark turn for her and when she finds herself on Klayton’s doorstep, it’s the last place she wants to be and the last place Klay wants her. But just when Klay thought he had the uncomplicated life he always wanted, Madison makes him rethink everything. Her brokenness is a siren call for Klay and makes him want “close” for the first time in his life.
Right from the get-go I knew the story was going to hurt my heart. And it did. But it also healed it. I loved both Klay and Mad. I loved their dynamic. Their growth. And I loved their love for each other. The story isn’t an easy one to read but it is one of true love and open hearts.
