This is a story about a struggling artist by the name of Kellus. Most of his life he has been dragged down by his ex John. Best friends through school then lovers later on Kellus bailed out John every time he needed. Since they've broke up it's still the same. The past year has been spent mopping up John's mess time and time again. He's finally sick of it but he can't seem to say no. He's trying to keep his head afloat with his art work but it's not easy. He's having his work shown at an exhibit in a brand new hotel. It's a big deal for him but lacking confidence he's not sure anyone will buy his work.
Arik is an eternal bachelor. Moving from one BT (boy toy) to another. Never committing, never having more than a few nights with random men. He's very successful in business running a multi million dollar hotel chain. He's just opening a brand new state of the art hotel and enlists his cousin to open an art gallery in the lobby.
An encounter with Kellus a few days before the grand opening and Arik's head is in a spin. For the first time ever he's obsessed with someone. Kellus pretty much feels the same but he fights it tooth and nail.
I absolutely loved these two! They were pretty much the perfect balance. Making up for each others flaws they go together like eggs and bacon. Love love love!!! Kellus is the sweet humble caring giving one. Arik, hard headed, single minded, straight to the point. I loved how relentless Arik is in his pursuit of Kellus. I laughed quite a few times at how he just would not give up. No matter how hard Kellus tried to keep it casual and slow because of all his baggage. Arik just solves the problems and carries on. Bossy? absolutely. Wonderful? yes yes yes!! The chemistry between them was hot and surprisingly loving.
Kellus as times did annoy me at how downtrodden he'd got but to be honest i can understand why but sometimes it was a little too much. I loved catching up with some past Kindle Alexander characters too that was an added bonus for me. Arik's family were also a major win for this book. Embarrassing him at every turn, again lots of chuckles.
The story flowed well and kept me reading and i love these author's books. Every time they write characters who steal your heart.
Beautiful and sweet love story i would highly recommend to any lover of m/m romance.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.
