Book Description
Gravity is not your normal, sweet romance of childhood friends to lovers. Spanning over twenty years—it’s raw, it’s real, asking the question if soul mates really exist.
Lily
At eight years old, the boy next door changed my life. He was the force pulling me toward him despite our differences. It was like magic.
We understood each other, supported each other and in the process became everything to each other.
But in chasing Trevin’s dream, I lost myself along the way.
Trevin
Through tremendous heartache, she was there. Through fame and fortune, she was there. Loving Lily was the one thing I got right.
Eclipsing her in my shadow, I took from her until she was empty. Now I must do anything to prove I can be the man she wants, no, the man she deserves.
My Review
Gravity is an emotional friends to lovers, second chance romance about two childhood best friends that survive many years of ups and downs. Lily and Trevin's rocky road was difficult to read at times but also so worth the journey.
Lily and Trevin have been friends since forever. Always on the precipice of something more, it isn't until Trevin gets the break of a lifetime that their relationship takes a turn. But just as quickly as it moves forward, it halts right where it started. While Lily is left behind Trevin lives his dreams out on stage. All the while their more than friends status seems even more unattainable. Decisions are made and hearts are broken when life never really seems to happen at the right time. And when Lily finally tires of living in Trevin's shadow, Trevin has to make choice about what his dream really is.
Second chance romances are my kryptonite. I love them. I hoard them. I obsess over them. Lily and Trevin's story is a second chance romance but not really a traditional one. It's more a a second chance at trying to make the right choices about your life story. Trevin wasn't perfect but neither was Lily. He didn't always make the choices I wanted him to make and Lily's stand in the end made my heart hurt, but through it all, Ms. Runow's writing pulled me in and made me feel all of the emotions that went along with this love story. I was kind of hoping for a bit more angst, but still in the end, I fell for Lily and Trevin, rooted for their happy ever after, and couldn't stop reading.
