My Review
First off I am a huge Lisa Marie Rice fan and have read
pretty much everything that she has written, and have yet to be disappointed.
And Breaking Danger is no exception!! This is a thrill ride and love story with
extra steamy bits all in one. I couldn’t put this book down at all, I had to
know what was going to happen next and see how they overcome an end of the
world apocalypse. I have been in love with the men of Haven since Mac and
Cathrine’s story and was so excited to get to Jon’s now because he has always
been a bit of a wild card in my opinion but once I found out his past it
explained everything and man did it break my heart as a parent. But let me tell
you he may be a love em and leave him type of guy but holy hell he’s sexy doing
it..lol but that changes when he meets Elle.
So Jon was part of a secret military branch known as Ghost
Ops, but when him and his team are betrayed and set up for crimes they didn’t
commit he goes into hiding with his commander Mac and Nick his team mate. They
together build Haven, and soon people from all walks of life needing a place to
start over and be away from the world start finding them in all different ways.
One of those people was Catherine and she started this whole tale off so I hope
you have read the first two books!! So anyway Jon is on his way to San
Francisco to rescue and bring back Elle because she is the only one that has a
known cure for a virus that has been released that turns people in well for
lack of a better description the walking dead but without impulse control. The
virus turns people into mindless killing machines with no self-preservation.
When Nick makes it to Elle they are instantly attracted to each other and have
to learn to trust and depend on each other in order to save the world.
The journey these two take is a thrill a minute and you
never know what is going to be around the next corner. As they start their
journey together to make it back to Haven in time to stop the virus from wiping
out humanity, Elle hides her gift from Nick, not because she doesn’t trust him
but because she just never shares it with people because of the ramifications.
Sara is a healer, she can heal emotions, pain and even from death. The only
problem is that she takes it in and it does a number on her.
I can’t really say too much without giving everything away
and well I would love to tell you everything I can’t or you wouldn’t get the
enjoyment of reading this book like I did! Lisa did a great job giving us an
ending to this series that made me happy and even wanting more but I understand
all good things must come to an end and well this series was a very good thing.
Thank you Lisa again for bringing me into a new world full of action, sexy men
and love!!
