My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards.
We met at a wedding—him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.
I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me.
We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.
I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn't dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s—she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage—and flew back home.
I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems.
Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose?
Nothing, I thought.
It’s just sex, not love.
But you know what they say about the best laid plans…

5 STARS! Why do I read so fast?! Ms. Keeland is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I’ve loved everything I’ve read from her. I eagerly await a book I know is coming. And I dive in as soon as it hits my Kindle. Sex, Not Love ticked all the boxes of what I love about romance most specifically a Keeland romance, and then some.
Nat and Hunter are opposites. Though neither are looking for “the one”, Nat finds herself trying to keep distance between the allure of her best friends’ husband’s best friend. After meeting at a wedding, and leaving the wrong number on purpose, Nat sets to forget about the man she should not be thinking about anyway. She’s got a step daughter to take care of and an ex husband to worry about. But a year later she finds herself again orbiting Hunter’s world. As their lives intersect once more, Hunter makes a proposition. Sex, Not Love. He lives on one coaster, Nat the other. So it should be easy. But after a few weeks, it becomes clear that easy is the last thing it is. When Hunter refuses to open up to any kind of possibility, everything Nat thought bad would happen, did. Hearts are broken, secrets kept and lives changed.
Ms. Keeland has the ability to blindside me in almost every book she writes. I never expect the twist, I’m always looking the wrong direction and I love that she’s able to do it every time. She keeps me on my toes while simultaneously weaving a love story that burns so brightly you know someone is bound to get burned. The chemistry is off the charts, the back story intricate and the romance perfect. Reviewed by Paige

Great read! This is a standalone novel.
Nat has trust issues. Let down by pretty much every man that has been in her life she now keeps herself at a distance from them. Attending her best friends wedding she meets the groom's best man Hunter. Everything about him screams heartbreak so Nat is determined to keep her distance. Plus with a busy work schedule and a step-daughter to take care of she simply doesn't have time.
At the end of the wedding weekend Nat gives him a false number when he asks and goes back home. She finds it hard to resist him which is why she's determined to keep away from him.
Hunter lives his life from day to day. He loves his job and spends most of his time on the road and he lives close to his best friend and he's happy with the way his life is. He doesn't have time for relationships and he doesn't want one. Short flings are the only thing he's prepared to commit to. Meeting Nat at his best friends wedding he can't seem to help but chase her. He knows it will only be sex not love and hopes that she will be OK with that. He asks for her number the morning after but when he tries to ring it's a fake number.
Fast forward 9 months and they're thrown together again. After enjoying each others company Hunter again asks for her number. Again she gives him a fake one.
Nearly a year passes when Hunter takes a 2 month job in New York where Nat lives. He tracks her down and gives her a proposition. 2 months of sex no strings.
I found both of these characters very loveable. You could sense later on in the story the pain coming from Hunter. He hid it well but it was there. He's so incredibly confident and cocky it's hard not to like him. Sexy and caring i gotta say he made my knees weak!! I found myself rubbing my chest to soothe my heart after the reveal it really was heartbreaking.
Nat is great! She's strong and brave and very admirable. I loved her transition. Hunter brought out a side of her she found hard to contain. I guess he was just the right one for her but reading how she couldn't resist him made me smile. I mean honestly i don't blame her!
Together they were like a lit fuse the passion which jumped off the page was ahhhh maaa zing!!
I loved the plot and the twists along the way. All the supporting characters were great and i particularly loved Izzy. She was so amazing!
The only reason i knocked off a star was because it lost me about a third of the way through. It lost my attention a bit and i think maybe i was just a bit frustrated with the chase. It didn't take long to pick back up again but i did struggle through that bit.
Otherwise it was a great read. Well written with a great plot which appeared well researched and one amazing couple.
4 Love, not sex Stars
