After moving out of the compound and into a beautiful house in Malibu life couldn't be better for Jade and Ryder. They're planning their wedding and for the arrival of their twins. Life is perfect something Ryder never thought his life could be. Of course something is now brewing in the club that threatens to destroy it all. There is a price on a few MC members heads and it's left to Ryder to try and sort out. Trying to juggle the club who saved him and the love of his life is proving difficult and Ryder is close to cracking. Can his love for Jade alone pull them through?
It was fantastic to get more of Jade and Ryder. I always love a good catch up of my fave characters! There's lots going on in this book not just with them but with the other club members too. We gets more of Cobra and Razor and Hammer and a few others.
I've got to admit that Jade got on my nerves a little in this book. I felt she was a little selfish. I get why she was worried for her family and protecting it the only way she knew how, but she knew Ryder loves his club and should maybe have thought a bit more about this. She'd got used to the normal life forgetting he was in fact a biker. Poor Ryder had a lot on his plate and i felt she added to this when she should have supported him more. As i said i knew why but it annoyed me. Maybe it's because i love Ryder so much i wanted to hug him and be there for him lol. The love scenes were off the charts. Jade had pregnancy hormones running wild and Ryder of course was happy to oblige. There were also a lot of swoon moments because Ryder, despite being a bad biker, is actually very sweet and loving with Jade.
The storyline was exciting and i found myself unable to put it down. There were lots of ups and downs and "what?!?!?! noooooooo" moments. Some parts had me about ready to get on a plane to grab the author and demand she change what she'd wrote!! But of course it comes good in the end... i hope!
I can't wait for Shoot the Moon now. Razor was heading the a-hole aspect in this book so i need to find out what's eating him! I would highly recommend this book. I do think you need to have read the rest of the series though to get the full enjoyment.
