Such a beautiful story!!! *sigh*This is a story about a College student Katie who is studying to be a teacher. Her whole life has been spent moving from place to place until now. She's finally found a home to stay in. She loves her course and she has two room mates who she see's as sisters. One of the these sisters drags Katie out to a Halloween party and there she meets Landon "Lucky" Evans. He's a local country singer trying to make it big. While Katie tries to hide away, Lucky see's her and he's instantly drawn to her. He's a rising star destined for great things, he doesn't have time for relationships but something about Katie has him acting for the first time in his life, as himself. Not just the singer, not just the joker not just the sweet man, but all of them him as a whole. I won't say anymore about the plot but the story goes on over many years from here.
This story had my heart aching all the way through. From the moment they met it was swooning all the way! She's so sweet an just want's a family who will stay in one place with her. She wants the home and the family and the picket fence. She's sensible and i loved that about her but i also loved what Lucky brought out in her. He made her more spontaneous and fun and she was able to let go with him. I felt her need and love and heartbreak. And Lucky? Oh my god! He's so lovable i felt everything he felt for her right from the very first words. He was so genuine and honest. Also sexy and fun and a little alpha too.
I loved how this story flowed. I was so enthralled with the story. The way it was written you felt absolutely everything that was poured into this book. The love and adoration they held for each other you felt it. The feeling of being scared of what was there. You felt it. The heartbreak for both of them. You felt that right in your chest! But most of all, LOVE. I felt that from the get go and in return i loved the whole book. I sighed and swooned and cried. It was wonderful!
Beautiful. Probably the best fitting word for this book.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Amazingly sweet

“Hey.”
I imagined him sitting in his house in Nashville with his sexy smile and messy hair. And that image was better than all the other images I’d had today.
“Did I wake you up?”
“No, I’m watching TV. Well, I kind of fell asleep in here, I guess.” I glanced at the clock, and it said one-thirty in the morning.
“So you are sleeping on the couch instead of out with your roommates?”
“How do you know they aren’t home?”
I heard his chuckle. “Same reason I know you are wrapped in a brown blanket.”
I jumped up from the couch and spun around in a circle. And then I saw Lucky, looking into the house through the dining room window. The rush I felt was bigger than I expected. A high that drowned out all the other feelings. “How long have you been watching me?”
“Well, long enough to see that you probably snore because your mouth was wide open. And I think you drool too.”
“No . . .” I shut my eyes. “Get in here.”
I hung up and went to the door. He was already on the steps by the time I had it open.
“So I was in the neighborhood.” He grinned. “Thought I would stop by.”
The flutters in my chest held me captive. Lucky might be the star, but right now, I felt like all the lights in the world had shifted their focus onto me.
Before I could say a word, Lucky pulled me into his arms as he kissed me hard, grinding his mouth against mine. He was holding me, running his hands over my body, into my hair, against my cheek.
I knew in that moment, the inevitable lonely ache that was destined to follow our relationship would be worth the torment—if those days allowed me to experience this mind-consuming rush of happiness that came each time he returned home.

Currently, her days are spent teaching computer software to oil and gas companies.
