A Different Blue

by Amy Harmon
My Rating  5 BLEW ME AWAY STARS

A Different Blue

Everybody needs to STOP.....

ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR LIST RIGHT NOW!!!

I honestly don't know where to start with this review other than to say that this book was AHH-MAZING..
The writing is just beyond words.
This story was in a league of its own. It made me feel every emotion possible.

I can't go into detail with this review cause this is one that must be read without the spoilers!!!!!!!

Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, Jimmy Echohawk.
Now 19 she is in her final year of high school.
Living day to day as a nobody.

When her new history teacher, Darcy Wilson, hands out their assignment to write your own story. Blue is forced to think and feel. She reluctantly writes her story, remembering her own history, and evaluate what made her the person she is.

~"You all have a story, It's been written up to this point, to this very second."~ Wilson

Trying to figure out who she is, literally, We watch Blue carve her story.

~"Once upon a time ... there was a little blackbird, pushed from the nest. Unwanted. Discarded."~

Wilson is contstanly pushing Blue, guiding her in figuring out who she was and ultimately who she wants to be.

~"None of us can help where we are scattered, Blue. But none of us has to remain where we were scattered. Why don't you focus on where you're going and less on where you come from? Why don't you focus more on what makes you brilliant and less on what makes you angry? You are missing a key element to the story. Maybe the moral of the legend is that we are all carved, created and formed by a master hand. maybe we are all works of art."~

Along the way Blue and Wilson form an unlikely friendship.
And as Blue finds her way, their friendship develops into something else. Something deeper.
Blue and Wilson go through so much together, I can't even tell you how much, as you have to read this without knowing what happens.

Her journey is only beginning and so much happens in such a short time that I was glued to my Kindle, I just needed to know what would happen.

Blue is scarred by her past. It was so refreshing reading a book that didn't fix everything.
In real life not everything can be fixed.
Sometimes people have to make these life changing decisions.
I didn't want Blue to do what she did.
When I read the Chapters, Deep and Grey I was a mess.
Omg what tragic yet beautifully written scenes.
My heart was breaking. I literally broke down and sobbed.

~"A moan tore from my throat, and I shuddered helplessly, no longer able to hold back the billowing sorrow that flooded my mouth, streamed from eyes, and robbed me of speech."~

~"I prayed He would take away my pain and if He couldn't do that, then would He, please, take away my love? Because the pain and the love were so intertwined that I couldn't seem to have one without the other. Maybe if I didn't love, I wouldn't hurt so much.~

I didn't think I would come back from that. But, Blue did, and as she did, I slowly came around.

~ Maybe it was the fact that I had pled with a God I knew very little about to take away the pain, but in the days that followed, I discovered I had been given the ability to weep. And in weeping there was power. Power to heal, the power to release pain and let go, the power to endure love and shoulder loss. And as the weeks become months, I cried less and smiled more. And peace became a more frequent companion.~

Wilson, Wilson Wilson Wilson…
What can I say? Not much at all, what an amazing Man!
I was not expecting the way it played out. It wasn't the typical controversial Student/Teacher affair that I was expecting when I started.
It wasn't any of that. It was a friendship built on understanding.
I can't express what it is in words. It's the feelings and actions and care that he gave. I wanted them together soo much, but it wasn't time for them at that point. Blue needed what he gave her.

It was a slow burn, but when they finally did came together..it was PERFECTION

~"I was afraid, Blue. You've been through so much. And I'm half mad over you. I don't think you're ready for the way I feel." ~Wilson

~I can't imagine that what I'm feeling isn't love. But 'I love you' doesn't feel adequate to express it. I desperately want you to love me. I need you to love me- but I don't want to need it, and I'm afraid I need it too much." ~ Blue

And then the ending.. WOW!!! What an amazing twist of events.
I was so pleased Blue got to know her story.
I wished this had an Epilogue. I'm a die hard fan of Epilogues and I wish Blue and Wilson got one.

This book was...
Amazing, soul changing, captivating and heartbreaking
It dealt with some heavy issues, and I absolutely loved it. This is a wonderful 5 star read, for anyone looking for an emotional story and an unforgettable reading experience you must READ this!!!!!

Favorite Quotes.

~I wanted to hate him because he was beautiful in a way I would never be. ~

~"You are many things, Blue Echohawk, I can even name twelve. But ugly isn't one of them."~

~"Sometimes the thing we want to be rescued from can save us."~

~"The Mystery of my life binds me still, Wilson.~

LEFT DROWNING

Review...
Left Drowning by Jessica Park
My rating: ★ 5 Breathtaking Stars ★

Left Drowning

~ Even when you're drowning and so far under, there is always time to reach for someone who will teach you how to breathe again. ~

I have read some amazing books
Books that capture your attention, entertain you and even break you.
Some books are even more amazing, that they take you to places that you have never been before, somewhere that you never would of expected. Evoking emotions that take a hold of you.

And then there are the books like Left Drowning.
Where every word slowly pierces your heart.
You feel every hit, every intense emotion, you find yourself holding your breathe.

Sometimes you just get it.

You live it, you breathe it.
You sit back and think… This book was written for me.
You are so blown away that an author is able to touch every part of your heart with words. Words written on paper.
Words that left you hanging on for more but at the same time you want it to end. You don't want to feel these feelings.

Left Drowning is in a league of it's own.
It's one of those books that leave you so unprepared with the events, the emotions, and even the connections.
It has this ability to destroy you.
Your holding on to the hope that not only will the people in the story will be ok, but you to will be ok.

description

The loss of her parents and the estrangement with her younger brother, has Blythe purely existing in her life.
Spending her days just making it through college and her nights spent with alcohol. Blythe plays the role, just pretending, holding out hope for a connection.

~ "I can't look at myself because I cannot stomach looking at a girl who has so little hope left, who is inexcusably weak. I am humiliated by my own inability to do better." ~

Grief
Guilt
Pain
Depression.

description

Blythe's whole life is about to be turned upside down by the Shepherd siblings.
We first meet Sabin.
Sabin, Sabin Sabin. Sigh my gosh I loved Sabin. You can tell in Park's writing that Sabin is someone special to her.
Sabin is Blythe's first friend, he situates himself in her life, no questions asked and from the very beginning you just know he was going to be one hell of a character.

~ "You caught me! In my case the question should be why am I up so late?"
I smile shyly. "Oh, I see."
We sit without speaking for a few minutes, my hand still in his, while he looks at me expectantly. I should take my hand away, but I simply can't. He is to odd and too endearing. ~

Then we meet Chris....

description

Chris wakens Blythe from the first moment. Her connection to him feels one-sided but as we get more of the story we learn that Chris is as much damaged as our Blythe.

~ "I went too far with you and I shouldn't have. I'm not really boyfriend material."
"Did you ever consider that I'm not girlfriend material?"
"Yes, you are. You're outstanding girlfriend material. I'm the one who's all kinds of fucked up. Trust me." ~

Chris pulls Blythe from the darkness she has been living in. She begins to heal, and even, haltingly, to love this guy who helps her find new paths to pleasure and self-discovery.

~ "Feel me." He inhales and his chest press into me.
"Breathe," he tells me. "Breathe with me." ~

Chris would have to be my favourite character to date.
His relationships with his siblings was just beautiful. You could see the man he was just by his actions with his family.
Yes, he doesn't commit to Blythe, he is totally upfront with her about that. His honesty doesn't take away that their connection is real.
And yes I hate that in books when the male can't commit, but I just felt that Park paced their story so perfectly you knew in time he would grow.

~ He is a fighter. I am not. And yet we are unquestionably linked. ~

I have read plenty of steamy sex scenes. And there has to be something said for Park's ability at intense and raw description. My God was the sex intense. You could feel the raw passion come at you in waves reading Chris and Blythe together.

~ Chris starts to slide in and out a little faster, staying deep when he goes in and then pulling almost entirely. Each time he enters me sets off another wave of hunger for him. I feel absolutely out of control, but for once its in the best way possible because its the most natural sense of exhilaration I've ever had. ~

But their relationship was so much more than sex, love or the strong friendship they held. It was so much more. It was a connection like no other and while your reading and falling in love with them both, their connection is what takes hold of you.

~ When Chris and I touch, it's different. I think of the feel of water. The way it is when you wade into the ocean and a small wave cascades against you, swirling sand over you and awakening every pore. ~

But Chris's past still holds him back.
This is where I just felt so broken. So helpless for Chris and Blythe. My heart was hurting so much that you would do anything to help them.

~ "How can I possibly say good-bye to the person I am so hopelessly, deeply, and permanently in love with? Because I love you, Chris. I do. I will always be in love with you, even though you'll never love me back. you have been my sanctuary this year. You saved me. Do you know that? You saved me. And I wish that you would let me save you." ~

description

Just how Chris Saves Blythe, It is Blythe that saves Chris and his Family from the truths of their pasts.

~ "Don't you see, Chris? You and I are supposed to be together. Not because we have to be together. There is always a choice. This is not an obligation or a duty. But our lives are entwined, they have been, for good reasons. I've know that from the moment I set my eyes on you. It never made sense to me before. How I felt so deeply connected to you before we'd even spoken. But I did, and I do. I have loved you since that day on the dock. Probably even before that. I feel as though I have loved you my entire life. Please, Chris, I'm right here. I want to go through life with you. I am begging you, Christopher. Begging you with all of my heart. Let me take care of you the way that you gave taken care of me." ~

There is no possible way for me to finish this review this without giving away key elements so all I am going to say is that YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!
There is no maybe or thinking about it guys. THIS IS A MUST READ.

Left Drowning is a beautiful love story full of pain and hurt, love and passion but it was just as much a story about family, about beautiful sibling relationships. About letting go of the past and learning how to survive. It's about living, breathing and healing.

description

I am constantly blown away by the pure talent of some authors that its mind boggling.
Jessica Park not only had to put Blythe, Chris and their siblings back together, she had to put me back to together!
Her writing was heartbreaking but cleansing. She held me captivated from the dedication.
She will take you on a ride that will have you begging to get off, but at the same time want to line right back up to get back on.

~ Our connection elicits the past and the truth from each of us. He thinks that's crazy, but I don't. It defies my lack of belief in God and fate, but I know this to be an absolute and unexplainable truth. ~

Unbreak Me

♫ ♪♫ ♪ I was nothing but a failure. A fucked-up, broken shame.

I was nothing but this emptiness. A shell ruined by fame.

Don't be afraid to shatter, baby, if that will set you free.

I'll find you in the pieces and that will Unbreak me.♫ ♪♫ ♪

*Warning*
ASHER IS MINE LADIES, MINE. I CLAIM HIM.
GOD I WANT HIM SO BAD!!

I can't even.. How do I even explain this to you?

Out of the hundreds and hundreds of books I have read, there is a small handful that have completely, absolutely, down right owned me.

Unbreak Me is one of those books.

Good God
Epic, Just epic

This book took me by the hand and pulled me completely in.. Mind.. Body and Soul.
It stripped me emotionally. I lived and loved every moment of it!
This is the reason I love reading.
The feeling of complete and utter amazement of a story that captures my heart.
The feeling of falling in love with words, with characters.
Lexi Ryan has a gift, and the lady sure knows how to work it.

Maggie Thompson has a reputation.
A bad reputation. Damaged goods. A failure. A slut.

One year ago Maggie was engaged to Will.
Two days before the wedding, Maggie called everything off and left Will, her family and her small town.
One year later walking down the isle, Maggie faces Will, Only this isn't her wedding. This wedding is her sisters.
Will is marrying Maggie's sister and Maggie is the bridesmaid.

William Bailey is an addict, and his drug of choice is Maggie.
William would do anything to fix her. But she wont let him, Maggie is convinced she is broken beyond repair.

Asher Logan is the poster child for the sexy bad boy.
He is a Rockstar who is trying to stay out of trouble.
Asher is instantly drawn to Maggie. There is something about her that seems so familiar.
What Asher and Maggie don't know is that they have already met.

Unbreak me is told through three POV’s. Maggie, Will and Asher.
Now I am NOT a fan of love triangles at all! Nope nada hate them!!! But Unbreak me is not really a triangle but more so a journey.
The journey of Maggie as she puts herself back together from all the pain and hurt she has had in her past.

~ One man holds me together, the other gives me permission to break ~

You don't get all the details upfront of why Maggie leaves Will.
How Will came to be engaged to Krystal.
Why the town labels Maggie a slut.

description

You have to read as all the truths come out. You have no idea how it is going to end up?
This is how I was hooked. I really didn't know what went down but I sure had fun trying to guess.

Maggie hates herself with such an intensity that no one she respects can get close to her.
A life filled with pain and hurt, her head filled with poison.
Once Asher comes in the picture everything changes, he wants to help Maggie, see inside of her and bring out what she keeps hidden.
Something about her just sets something off in him.

~"Maggie is so miraculously different, I want to breathe her in."~

Maggie just wants a good time. She wont allow herself anything more, she doesn't deserve it.

description

~"I wanted to bury my loneliness under the weight of a mans body on mine, to erase unwelcome memories with his mouth." ~

But Asher won't sleep with her. He wants to get to know her. He will not have sex with her, when he knows she wants another man.

~ "Fuck, I want you." His hands are on me again and I feel like I'm walking along the edge of a steep precipice, like I might slip over the edge and lose control.
"I keep waiting for you to stop showing up," I say. "To give up on me."
"Do you want me to give up? Because I saw the way he was looking at you last week, Maggie. If you want him, he's yours." ~

description

~ "I like you Asher. But if we're going to keep this up, whatever this is, you need to know my life is a little fucked up. Im fucked up."~

Asher doesn't believe that and he will do anything to prove her wrong.

description

Slowly he breaks through her walls and we get to find out her past, how she has always ended up in unhealthy relationships.
It's heartbreaking to learn of her pain at 15yrs old. What a seriously messed up situation. One that had me crying for Maggie.
But Asher doesn't look at her in disgust, he doesn't push her away. He hurts with her.

~ Asher is holding me so tightly it almost hurts, but it's the good kind of hurt. It's a pain that reminds me I'm alive and I'm worth something. ~

MY GOD ASHER!
Kill me now, I die. Seriosuly I die…
description
~ "You're beautiful," he whispers.
"That's superficial. It's meaningless"
"Sometimes. But your beauty? It's the kind that radiates from your heart, Maggie and it's so damn bright it's beyond these walls you've erected to protect yourself." ~

Sigh….

More and more truths come out.
And then we find out how Asher and Maggie met the first time.

~ How could the Maggie who keeps a steel cage around her heart be the same woman who cupped herself between her legs to keep her baby inside? ~

No words…. that line, freaking heartbreaking.
That whole flash back, Damn. Damn Damn Damn!
God Lexi Ryan. Lady you seriously got it.

~ I wonder if this might be the moment she breaks. What does it say about me that I want her to? I want her to break so I can find her in pieces, just like she does with her mosaics. ~

As Asher gives her what she needs, will Maggie realise that she doesn't need to be fixed.

description

~"What if no one can fix me?"
"You don't need fixing," He gives a sad smile and wipes a tear away with his thumb. "It's like your mosaics. The beauty is already there, you just find it. Let go, sweetheart."
"I'm afraid I'll shatter."
He lifts my hand to his lips and kisses along the line of stitches running down my palm.
"If you shatter, I'll find you."~

There were so many great lines in this book, heartbreaking moments, laugh out loud dialogue. I practically highlighted every page.

~"Don't be afraid to break Maggie. Stop holding on to the ugliness to just stay whole."~

~"I'm not trying to change you, Maggie. I'm trying to love you."

description

~Just my luck that I'd pick a bad boy who's all Mr. Sensitivity and wants to get to know me. ~

~"Asher, wake up and smell the third-wave feminism. Women have fantasies too. I happen to find a little frantic, half-clothed kitchen sex hot." ~

Amazing, absolutely freaking amazing.
This is a must read.
GO and start this now!
One of my favourite reads this year!!!!

~My eyes fill at his words, but he doesn't try to stop it. He doesn't ask me not to cry, he gives me permission to. He lies beside me, pulls me against his bare chest, until I'm baptised by silent tears.~

Sometimes Never (Sometimes Never, #1)

~ I'm standing in the middle of my bathroom, naked clutching a razor blade between my thumb and finger. I need to release the poison. The fear. The anger. I want the pain that festers inside of me - Out. I want it on the outside. On my flesh. Where I say how I hurt. Where I say when. Where I say for how long. Where I say stop. Where I can stop it.
I'm so ugly.
I am so fucking ugly.
My insides are disgusting.
There is nothing good inside of me. I'm not a nice person. I'm not smart. I'm not funny. I am selfish. Mean. There is nothing special about me. I can't stand the sight of myself. I hate myself. I hate everything that makes me, Me.~

WOW what Intense, Powerful, Heart wrenching words!

I can't even begin to tell you about the incredible story of Hope and Mason.

Hope was amazing, She was real, she was broken and I just wanted to climb through my kindle and hug the shit out of her!
Hope self harms, to deal with her painful past. It's an addiction.

It's like an itch that no matter how many times I scratch and dig at it, it just won't stop tingling until
I'm raw and bloody. It may settle down for a while, but it never actually stops prickling and crawling below the surface. Just waiting to flareup and grab hold of my sanity again.

Mason, who is dealing with his own demons is amazing! Just perfect for Hope, sees past her insecurities and gets through to her.

Mason Patel is my counterpart. He is the eraser to my chalk. The milk to my cereal. The chocolate to my peanut butter. We were made for each other in cookie heaven.

Both so terrified of what they feel for each other and what that means they slowly start to let each other in.

"Mason, you terrify me."
His voice lowers in a deep murmur. "Im also starting to think that's possibly a good thing because you scare the shit out me too."
"So what do we do?" I whisper.
"Maybe we should start facing our fears."

I loved all of the secondary characters, they all were there for Hope and Mason and I fell in love with them just as much!

This was intense, Cheryl McIntyre brings these characters to life on such a raw level, You feel them, you experience their pain right along with them!

The writing.. Oh was just beautiful Im utterly in love, the words just flowed off the page, I couldn't get enough! The words spoke to me, called to me, captured me.

"Pink lips, and rosy cheeks; eyes so light and hair that shines.
They tell me that you're beautiful."
"Five foot nine, size two dress, bones protruding from your chest.
They tell me that you're beautiful."
"Inflated breasts, extended hair, pigment perfected. They tell me that you're beautiful."
"Shape me, mold me, manufacture me, and tell me that I'm Beautiful.
Wax me, dye me, chop and dice me, and tell me that I'm beautiful. Choose me, use me, take me break me, and tell me that I'm beautiful. Bleach it cover it, go ahead and remove it."
"Erase all that is beautiful."
"Break me. Break me. Break me to fit you."

"I don't want to be beautiful."

BREATHTAKING. As in, stopped my breath.

I think Jess Jordan is my all time favourite!
Normally I'm all swoon swoon swoon on the guy... But JESS she just did it for me in this one. Don't get me wrong Gray Porter is totally swoon worthy and those one liners lol "I want you to know if we die right now, I won't be able to distinguish if i've made it to heaven or not, because I'm already sitting here with you. Like this." He is totally swoon worthy! and FUNNY!!

BUT

Jess Jordan....
Im not huge on highlighting my kindle will do it maybe once in a book but my little fingers where burning up my kindle screen highlighting everything that came out of Jess's mouth or went through her head! She is so funny Yep. I've stopped breathing. Baa, baa, BAA_OHMYGOD. I hate myself right now. I think I also blatantly sniffed him! bhahahaha

And then in the same heartbeat your heart just breaks for her!
she is so sweet and I loved her relationship with Kika
The nightmare can't compete with my sister. She's always had some special brand of magic. Asleep or awake, any space she occupies somehow instantly becomes the sweetest place on earth
I read that line and just instantly fell in-love with her!

This was just soo good! LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!

Hopeless

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 Outstanding Stars

Hopeless (Hopeless, #1)

~ One of the things I love about books is being able to define and condense certain portions of a characters life into chapters. It's intriguing, because you can't do this with real life. You can't just end a chapter, then skip the things you don't want to live through, only to open it up to a chapter that better suits your mood. Life can't be divided into chapters.. only minutes. The events of your life are all crammed together one minute right after the other without any time lapses or blank pages or chapter breaks because no matter what happens life just keeps going and moving forward and words keep flowing and truths keep spewing whether you like it or not and life never lets you pause and just catch your fucking breath.

I don't think I will be able to give a worthy enough review of this amazing book!

My friend and I were discussing what were our top books of 2012 last week and I thought I knew, without a shadow of a doubt what would be my number 1.
I THOUGHT nothing will top it, Surely not a week before New Yr, I cant abandon it as my number 1.

WELL I WAS SOO WRONG

Hopeless just knocked it off its throne.

I can't express my feelings for this book into words so I shall use Colleen Hoovers,

I laughed,

I laughed soo hard,

I see the Mormon brought the queen her offering of coffee. Very impressive." I look at Holder and cock my eyebrow. "Do you wish to reveal you offering, hopeless boy, so that I may decide who shall accompany me at the classroom throne today?"
bhahhaha Sky is soo funny!

I Swooned.. OMG THE BEST FIRST KISS IN THE HISTORY OF FIRST KISSES-- WIITHOUT EVEN KISSING.

I swooned soo hard,

"Fuck all the firsts, Sky. The only thing that matters to me with you are the forevers."

Holder is my all time favourite, so swoon worthy I told my husband, "Just a warning, I just read my all time best book boyfriend ever so shape up buddy." Heeehehhe

I want a bestie like Six,

There isn't a fake thing about Six, other than her name.
When she was fourteen and her parents told her they were moving to Texas from Maine, she rebelled by refusing to respond to her name. Her real name is Seven Marie, so she would only answer to Six just to spite her parents.

BHAHHAHAHA thats gold...

I cried,
"I want you to keep them open.... because I need you to watch me give you the very last piece of my heart."

"Sometimes you have to choose between a bunch of wrong choices and no right ones. You just have to choose which wrong choice feels the least wrong."

There was a moment in the book when the words that I read were so profound to me I had to stop, stand up, walk away and breathe

But what terrifies me more than any of that is the fear that I love him too much to want to ruin the rest of his life.
OH MY GOD... then this...

I would of been able to recognise his voice anywhere. There's something about a voice that terrifies you that you'll never be able to forget, no matter what.

TRUTH.... right there

Then... when I didn't think anything could top all of that, I read the MOST amazing words ever spoken to someone,

"Baby, you need to be proud of the fact that you survived everything you went through as a child.
Don't separate yourself from that life. Embrace it, because I'm so fucking proud of you. Every smile I see on your face just blows me away, because I know the courage and strength it took when you were just a little girl to ensure that part of you remained. And your laugh? My God, Sky. Think about how much courage it took you to laugh again after everything that happened to you. And your heart..." he says, shaking his head disbelievingly. "How your heart can possibly find a way to love and trust a man again proves that I've fallen in love with the bravest woman I've ever known. I know how much courage it took for you to allow me in after what your father did to you. And I swear I will spend every last breath thanking you so much for loving me, Linden Sky Hope."

oh my gosh he says that! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Amazing, Incredible, Breathtaking, Heart stopping!

The Final Piece

~Detach. Float away. I tell myself as I let my mind go numb.~

Rough, Remarkable an Unapologetically heart-wrenching!

Maggie Myers writes about an extremely difficult subject but treated it with respect.
Leaving you with a heart breaking experience whether this subject has touched you life or not. I felt everything Beth felt.

~ Panic mixed with dread spreads inside me, infecting every fibre of self worth and esteem. I can't see it; I only feel it as the happiness leaves my body in a dizzying rush. It bleeds out of me like I've been gutted with a dull knife. My spiral into despair feels like slow motion, but in reality, it's just a matter of seconds.~

Beth is suffering abuse at the hands of family friend and neglect from her parents.
Beth confides in her mother about the abuse, thinking she will save her.

"He hugs you and what? Does he tickle you, Beth?" She mocks me. "Jesus Christ, Beth everyone gets tickled at some point?"

To say first few chapters were intense would be an understatement. I pretty much held my hand over my chest praying for relief.

Beth's saviour comes from Tommy, a close family friend who has always been a father/uncle figure to her. After discovering what has unfolded, Beth is taken back to her home town with Tommy, her uncle, aunt and to her grandparents.
Beth embarks on a journey of healing far from the horrors of her home. In her darkest moments, she meets a boy named Ryan.
Spending one summer together, Beth and Ryan's friendship turns to first love.

However road to life takes them in different directions.
Beth moves on with her life, healing in time. Friendships form and life takes her forward with the decision of letting love back in.

10 yrs later and a tragedy brings Beth and Ryan together again.
Both Beth and Ryan haven't gotten over their first love and emotions come forth bringing all truths out.

~ There aren't many times in life you get the opportunity to come full circle, and I can't help but feel like life is telling me to grab on this time an never let go. ~

It's nothing but chalky warmth, a glow in the distance completely humbled to the magnificence of Helios. There's something refreshing about a sunrise, It's just as unpredictable what a new day would bring. ~

A child hood that had been scripted for a girl, Bailey Gray.

description

Bailey Gray is tired of her perfectly planned life, she has perfect grades, the perfect friends, a perfect boyfriend, life was perfect...or so everyone thought.
Bailey can't stand her life, HATED her life. Going to a certain school, her parents picked her friends, a certain boyfriend forced upon her.
During Graduation Bailey snaps right before her Valedictorian speech.

"The truth is that my entire life has been planed out for me. Did you know I couldn't even buy my own underwear? My mom does that for me," I said with a laugh.
My dad, who had shot out of his chair in embarrassment, had reached the stage by then grabbing my arm. Straining to speak into the microphone, I needed to say one more part that was important.
"Looks like my time is up but I just wanted to say one last thing to everyone… Fuck off!"

Bailey Runs,
Runs right into town bad boy Dylan Wade

description

Dylan was Bailey's 1st kiss, growing up across the street from each they were childhood friends.
But when Dylan's mum died in a car accident, a part of Dylan died with her. He started acting out pushing everyone away. Bailey and Dylan haven't spoken in years.

Embarking on road trip the unknown, they re-discover a friendship they once knew.

~Sometimes you just know a person. It doesn't matter if you never talk. You know them. You have a silent connection. We had that. ~

Bailey questions what she wants out of life. What would you do of a piece of forever? What would you do to love more, feel more, and live more?

~More than anything, I wanted to feel alive. I wanted to feel and appreciate a passion for something that I loved. For most of my life, I felt like a puppet on strings and I wanted that feeling gone.~

Together they experience life, live it, breathe it, enjoy the moment, be present and take a risk.

~When I got in that car, It wasn't a thought out decision. The decision to want something more from my life was but Dylan, what was happening now, that wasn't planned. To me that was the best part of it though, the unexpected.~

Their Summer was spent on the open high way chasing sunsets.
Creating a bucket-list, learning about themselves and each other.

~ You know those moments, whether you're in them or not, you feel something more than you intended to feel, what you wanted to feel. That was right now. It was like watching a sunset, one that I expected to be an average sunset and know what colours would be and the specific setting I would use, but then, with so much as a shift in the clouds, a sunset you never expected is revealed. It's a stolen heart in the rain, sprinkled ray of light that kiss your skin and dance in the rain to sounds of thunder and rolling growls. ~

Slowly Bailey learnt that a lot of times, the best things in life didn't rely on being planned. On that summer road trip Dylan and Bailey feel hopelessly in love.

~To me, love was like the colours of the sun bleeding and spilling over the best part of you and him together and highlighting what needed to be. Love doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's a word, a phrase you give to someone that bleeds the same colours you bleed, feels those same lines.~

Lessons are learnt and secrets come to head threatening to destroy everything they had.
What would you do? Deny the truth?

"I love you, please remember that," he whispered tucking a lock of my hair behind my ear. "Half of me will be with you, barely breathing, watching your sunset."

That one summer, taught Bailey to open her eyes on a lot of things, her family, life, a world she never knew and world she can be herself in.
She lost so much but gain a lot more..

'Waiting for you' is a story of kisses, lust, passion, youth, mistakes, lies, hiding, stupidity, judging, but most of all, love.

~We loved. We made memories. Our love was dangerous. It was asking me to come with him. It was dancing in the rain on the hood of his car. It was making dents that only we knew. It was living in the moment and making memories and deals. It was being in love and having your heart ripped from your chest. Here you take it, I don't want it anymore. It was that kind of shit. It was please don't do this, not here." It was hear me now, listen to me. It was waiting. I waited, and we waited. Nothing.
It was remembering every detail, everything that made him Dylan Wade and remembering nothing at all. ~

When I start a book I normally know what I'm getting into. I know what type of mood Im in for.
I will, most of the time read through a few reviews weighing up my options.
There are some books that make you laugh, cry, swoon and even angry. Some leave you on a cliffhanger making you beg for more. I love all the emotions you feel when reading a good story.
I Love getting lost in a story, love being taken in to the pages, to feel everything I'm reading.

Every once in a while I will be taken on a journey that I wasn't prepared to take. I will be thrown head first into the lives of the ones I'm reading. It invokes all the wonderful emotions you want to feel plus so much more. It's a feeling of pure excitement when my adrenaline kicks in.
But most of all, it's the words that you read that connect to you.
It's like the words are flowing out of my kindle wrapping around me, caressing me, comforting me pouring into my body and soul and speaking to me.
It is freaking amazing when I feel that. It resets you, It opens your eyes to everything around you.

Shey Stahl's 'Waiting for you' invoked all those emotions for me, I can't even begin to tell you. I was not expecting such an intense pull.
Her words came out at me, wrapped around me and opened my eyes.

~Some say a sunset can be too beautiful for words. I'd agree with that. There are a lot of things too beautiful for words for me.
To me, it was the earth's way of saving the best for last.~
