My Review
If you’re a fan of coming of age stories
with elements of N/A then this is the perfect read for you!
I really liked the concept of The List– for innocent and inexperienced
Annie, making a college bucket list seemed like a great idea. So with the help
of her more experienced and outgoing roommate Annie makes said List will all
the things she’s like to experience while in college.
The list itself is a mix of easy to harder
feats. Ranging from a first kiss, to ear piercing’s right down to sex and a
broken heat.
Annie comes from a family where her father
and brothers are WAY too protective, having lost her mother Annie missed out of
all the girlie things mothers and daughters might do.
Moving away to school provided the perfect
opportunity for Annie to let her hair down…and oh boy does she!
The story itself had many up and down
moments for me. As soon as we met Chris I was like ohhh okay possible love
interest, but then we meet Ryan and the sparks seemed to fly. As the book
progressed so did my nerves because I HATE love triangles, so I was feeling a
bit anxious about this read. BUT with that being said I continued and has glad
I did. It wasn’t really a full-blown love triangle it as more of unsure
feelings and apprehension about going after the person you want.
Annie’s character really bugged me in some
situations especially where Chris was involved. I was pissed at her!!!! But
then again I could relate and understand where she was coming from. I loved
Ryan and their chemistry, but again the way some bits played didn’t sit so well
with me.
In the end I did enjoy this book as a
whole, I just found it a bit more emotional and angsty then I thought it was
going to be.

Kate L. Mary is a stay-at-home mother of four and an Air Force wife. She grew up in a small town just north of Dayton, Ohio where she and her husband met at the age of twelve. Since their marriage in 2002, they have lived in Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and California.
Kate enjoys any post-apocalyptic story – especially if zombies are involved – as long as there is a romantic twist to give the story hope. Kate prefers nerdy, non-traditional heroes who can make you laugh to hunky pieces of man-meat, and her love of wine and chocolate is legendary among her friends and family. She currently resides in Oklahoma with her husband and children.
