Synopsis

Holy shit! If you are a fan of dark
reads, hot sex and one hell of a ride then Malevolent by debut author Cassia
Brightmore is a must read…like right the fuck now!

rods does Ms. Brightmore’s mind scare the piss out of me! Who would have
figured that such a sweet and innocent looking girl has this lurking in her
mind? Jesus!
Get redy for the
mind fuck…
Malevolent is the
perfect title for Brightmore’s book; it is simply put all about the EVIL!
From chapter 1 I
was hooked, being a fan of dark reads I have been waiting for this book for
what seemed like forever. Brightmore sets the tone for the story with chapter
1. God, it’s so fantastically written that I was immediately catapulted into
the dark world of the killer. I felt like I was there; seeing the scene play
out before my eyes, it’s like a traffic accident that you just cant seem to
stop looking at.
Cassia’s ability
to draw you in with her well-chosen words is masterful, not like what you would
expect by a debut author. Honestly the end of chapter one I was white knuckling
my iPad; holding it so hard, all the while literally sitting on the edge of my
seat so completing entranced by Malevolent already. And let me tell you the
thrill, anticipation and the rush last for all 20 chapters.
With a string of
murders happening in the small town of Durham Heights, everyone is relying on the
so very sexy Sheriff Brady James to save the day. Grab your B.O.B’s lady there
is a new alpha hottie in town and is one hell of an alpha dominant man of the
law. Yummy!
Along with Brady, Ms.
Brightmore pens a variety of characters that just made this read an addicting
one. From Gwyn the new girl in town with her own scary past to Mila the fucking
bitch whore face who I hated instantly to the sweetness that is Hailey along
with the few other minors you can’t help but feel get vested in each one’s
story and wanting to know all you can about them,…okay even Mila. The only
downfall with connecting to one of Cassia’s characters is they all THAT THEY
ALL OF THE POTENTIAL DO DIE!
Fuck me you cannot
trust Ms. Brightmore at all. Just when I thought I’d figured something out,
she’d pull the rug from beneath me.
The plot is so
intricately woven and so well executed I couldn’t put it down. When I wasn’t
reading Malevolent I was thinking about it trying to use my skills of deduction
to see if I could figure it out. With a few big shocks along the way,
accompanied with a few bawling sessions Cassia does manage to spice up this
dark read with lots pretty steamy scenes.
Oh my do Gwyn and
Brady have a sexual chemistry that is sure to have you fanning yourself as you
read, Cassia gives us some uber hot and descriptive sex scenes that are sure to
leave a girl all hot and bothered.
Overall Malevolent
was a stellar debut novel from Cassia Brightmore I was hooked from the start
and I’ve been thinking about it even now that it’s done. Which for me is truly
a sign of a good book. I am a fan big time Cassia! I cannot wait for the next,
well especially with an ending like this! Gah! Whore! xox
