Title: Single Vol. 2Author: Lyra Parish
Synopsis
Sometimes love can be cruel. Not that Roxane has fallen in love but the one man she found interesting has crossed from her personal life into her professional one which makes life complicated.
Parker Williams doesn’t take no for an answer, not that Roxane would deny him anyway.
He has his own set of rules that must be followed while hers are being crossed through like a to-do list.
When a person falls in love, it’s supposed to be easy but it’s much more complex than either realized it could be.
Roxane’s control is slipping along with every opinion she had about love. This time, it feels different. This time, it finally feels right.
Slowly she realizes how much is at stake, but she is only concerned about losing one thing—her heart.

Oh my word Parker Williams is back with a sexy vengeance.
I have been waiting so very impatiently for Vol. 2 to finally grace my Kindle.
I have been waiting so very impatiently for Vol. 2 to finally grace my Kindle.
And man, oh man was it worth the wait! God I am so loving this
series big time.
We catch back up with Rox and Parker and immediately the sparks, witty
banter, humor and sexual tension is ever present. From the first page I was
sucked back into the single life of Roxanne VanBuren and her crazy world where she has so many rules in place for dating which she tries in vein to follow in hopes of never falling in love again.
The same world that was quickly thrown off kilter by the sexy alpha yumminess that is Parker Williams in Volume 1. Gawd that man is just- fark!
The same world that was quickly thrown off kilter by the sexy alpha yumminess that is Parker Williams in Volume 1. Gawd that man is just- fark!
Deciding she can no longer deny her attraction to Parker, Rox begins to let her guard down around him and I'm soooo flipping excited! I have been rooting hard for her to give Parker a chance. While failing repeatedly at maintaining her dating rules where Parker is concerned we start to see the tough as nails man-eater begin to crumble at the hands of the sexy being that is Parker Williams. Despite both trying to follow their rules, which they both happen to keep breaking for each other we see Parker
and Rox connect. Not only do they connect but they fall hard despite all of their stupid notions, attempts rules and best of all trying to figure out what the hell is happening
between them. But thank goodness for us while they work on figuring their sexy relationship we are
treated to one hell of a hot read.
Lyra delivers with one hell of an instalment and I have to say she nailed it with Volume 2.
Holy hell, this is one sexy assed read!

Holy hell, this is one sexy assed read!
Parker is a relentless man who is used to getting what he wants,
and this man clearly wants the reluctant at love Roxanne VanBuren. I absolutely
loved how Ms. Control herself didn't stand a chance with this alpha and I
fucking loved every minute of watching her slowly loose her resolve, her fight
and basically cave. I so loved watching her walls crumble and her heart opening
up to the possibilities of a life with Parker.
With a ton of sexual tension and a shit load of build up this book
was HOT even thought it seems like it took forever for the sex to finally
happen, there were heaps of hot dirty lines, along with a ton of close encounters to help build the
anticipation. And fuck me, when it finally does come to all out sex, it was
sizzling.
Rox and Parker are perfect! Gah, I LOVE these two!!!!! There
finally where I want them to be despite a shit phone call that had be almost
breaking my Ipad, but thank Mrs. Parish for not torturing us for too long.
And…
Thank fuck for empty apartments and new neighbour’s, ones who
know just how to smooth things over!
Bring on Book 3 RIGHT THE FUUUUCCCK NOW!!! PLEASE!!!!

Excerpt
"Are you fucking kidding me, Rox?" Stacey screamed
into the phone. There was music blaring in the background, and I heard the
clicking of a camera lens and loud flashes. I could only imagine how many
umbrellas were set up for the shoot. She was at her next spread for Cover
Girl, but decided to stop the presses just for me.
"I wish I were,"
I said, remembering his lips on my thighs and the taste of him in my mouth.
"He’s intoxicating." My words seemed to drift away into the open
space of the car as I accelerated onto the 610 Loop.
"Oh my god," she
said. "The airiness in your tone, the pauses between your sentences—you
fucking liiiiiiiiike him, don’t you?"
I couldn’t admit that, not
right now. It was too soon, way too soon. Actually, only hours after the incident,
as I now termed it. I couldn’t even tell Stacey what exactly had happened, just
that something had happened. Her imagination was dirty, so I’m sure she
could figure it out with just a few hints. Honestly, if I even said a peep
about it, or about how Parker Williams made me feel, she would be declaring her
victory. I might as well just hand her the crown.
The incident had
shifted everything I once thought I believed, and everything I had tried to
avoid. I couldn’t deny that when I closed my eyes, his face was the one I saw.
Those piercing blue eyes were burned into my retinas. I knew the smile
permanently attached to my lips existed for one reason. Or if one wanted to get
technical, it was the messy brown hair, blue eyes, and that sexy voice that almost
made my knees go weak.
Oh my god.
Was I having a revelation?
Yes, I was having a
revelation. Maybe I wasn’t in control of how I felt anymore? But that couldn't
be. Not after being with someone only once. The chase was over, wasn't it? Fuuuuucccckkkkkk
me! The heart was trying to control me, but I couldn’t let it. Even the
heart had weaknesses. Love was the equivalent of stabbing a dagger into a heart
and twisting. Okay, maybe it wasn't that dramatic, but it felt like it to me.
"No. Of course
not," I said after a long pause. I was lost in my thoughts, and Stacey,
being the way she was, noticed.
"I wish I could see
your face right now, because I know you’re lying. I know you are trying to feed
me lies, Roxane VanBuren, and I’m not having it. I want every single dirty
little detail of what happened, and not just, ‘we moved to second base,’ got
it?"
A man’s voice yelled in the
background about how models should get off their damn phones and actually work
today.
"I’ve got to go. Darrell is being such a douche. I swear
his glitter panties are in a knot right now … but this isn’t over."
More yells followed, and she said her goodbyes after cursing
loudly that it was an emergency and people needed to shut the hell up.
My heart raced at the thought of what was happening to me. I had
to deny this at all costs. I couldn’t be in like. I had never fallen for
someone so soon. No way. And if I started admitting it, even to myself, it
would be trouble.
I knew it sounded so silly to be in like, but it was the
first step to love. All I could think of was that stupid childhood chant that
we all sang to agitate people who were in like. Roxy and Parker sitting
in a tree … next thing there would k-i-s-s-i-n-g, love, then a baby in a baby
carriage. Hell no. No. There were no babies in my future.

I love love love
the serial novella and was soooooo super excited to find Single by Lyra Parish.
Thanks to a trusted book friend who just knew I would love it, my newest serial fascination
was born.
If you have
haven’t taken the plunge yet into the Single world you need too.
Volume 1 was a
perfect foundation for things to come. I was immediately curious and so captivated
by the story that I read Volume 1 way to fast, which now leaves me waiting very
impatiently for the next installment.
But it’s this anticipation
that makes me love the serial genre so fucking much! I kill my self with the
wait, conjuring all kinds of outcomes in my mind. Then the day comes where the next volume is out and I get reunited
with the characters I've fallen in love with, able to finally see what the hell will happen next.
Lyra’s Single is
witty, laced with laugh out loud moments and holy cheese and rice some

Internet dating has rules. Rules that
need to be followed in order to be successful at it. Rules that help you stay
focused. Focused on not falling and not committing. According to Rox anyway.
These are her rules…
1. Always use a fake name
2. Always use the same fake name
3. Never bring s man to your home
4. Always use protection
5. No cuddling
And the most important NEVER MIX
BUSINESS WITH PLEASURE.
Meet Roxanne VanBuren, considered to
be a serial Internet dater. She follows her rules and enjoys it for the most
part. Since loosing her fiancé years ago and working long hours she has basically
sworn off love and commitment, needing only sex. Internet dating was her oyster,
it’s fast and for the most part effective. Well… that is until she met up with
him. The one who essentially ruins it all.
Omg! I loved this book instantly. The
humour and wit just slapped me in the face within the first few pages! Roxanne/
Katie's retelling of her encounter with Alex was so fucking hot as I read I was
like yes! Then suddenly I bust out into laughter. I knew from that point on
that Lyra had me hooked into her literary creation!
After deciding to break form on-line sex
matches Roxanne decided to put her trust in her bestie who helps her explore a
few alternatives. After a crazy weekend of sexual explanation and a romp with a
past lover she needs a change. Meeting a sexy bartender just might be that change.
Enter Parker.
Enter Hotness.
Enter HOLY fucking window scene!
*fanning my self
Enter NEVER MIX BUSINESS WITH
PLEASURE!!
Gah…she fucking ends it!
I cannot wait for Volume 2!!!!!
