My Review
This is one of my favorite series of last year so when I saw there was going to be a book three I was literally freaking out. I mean…could L and Jack’s story really get any better?
Well let me tell you…Yes…Yes it can!
I couldn’t help myself from falling in love with this woman. When she took my hand, I willingly gave her my whole life.
**SWOON**
I thought I was so happy with the ending of Beauty from Surrender but oh my god this ending blew that one away. This storyline could have ended with book two and we all would have been pretty happy about it. But Jack and Laurelyn have more to their story and I couldn’t be more excited about it.
They have one of those romances that started off as nothing more than a way to fulfill a sexual need and a promise of an adventure of a lifetime but their connection has always been more. Jack may have been a bit of a bastard before in how he treated women but now he has Laurelyn and their love and bond is so heartwarming and beautiful.
“Things you once thought you’d never want transform into your greatest desire.”
But Jack is a wealthy man and with wealth comes people set on ruining you. Especially a wealthy man with a past like Jacks. Laurelyn finally has everything that is important to her. She has the man of her dreams, the ability to fulfill her passion for music and finally a family that loves her and she loves more than anything. So what could possibly go wrong?
There are 12 (well 13 if you count the very first) reasons that she has to feel insecure about her future. Her husband’s past conquests are making a way back into his life and causing trouble for the new happy couple. Jack wants nothing more than to erase his past and concentrate on his future with Laurelyn and start a family. He had never imagined that life for himself but with her, it’s all he wants. Laurelyn loves her husband but she isn’t sure she is ready for a baby, let alone a house full like her husband is focused on. Especially when then nightmare of his past just never seems to go away. How much will Laurelyn be able to take before it’s too much?
Jack’s first love..the conniving little twat…wants him back, his new semi slutty intern is interested in more than just lessons on running a vineyard, and to top it off Miss Number X has returned with an unexpected surprise that is sure to cause major problems for the newlyweds.
Just when you think you are going to get your HEA something else happens and it tests their love and trust once again.
I would say this might be my favorite installment of the series. Book one was on my favorites for 2013 and this rivals that one. I absolutely loved the dynamic of their relationship. I loved their “3 minute confessionals”…I’m thinking about talking my husband into doing that. It shows how honest they really want to be with each other about their fears and insecurities without it being held against them.
If you have not read this series I would recommend you do it. It’s forbidden, hot and super sexy. It’s filled with drama and moments of utter frustration, but also with moments of the most beautiful love you will ever read about. Truly amazing!
