As teenagers, Lindsay and Grady found a love together that few people are lucky enough to ever experience.

When Lindsay Ross decided to visit her aunt for the summer in a small lake town in New York, she didn’t expect anything other than an escape from her demanding parents. She certainly didn’t expect Grady Hawke. At the end of the summer, Lindsay and Grady made plans for their future and vowed to be together forever. Back in New York City, events beyond her control forced Lindsay to turn her back on Grady and their love.

Grady has spent the last five years trying to forget the one girl who broke his heart. But when Lindsay arrives back in town unannounced, will Grady get to know the woman she has become and find out the real reason she left him all those years ago? Or will he push her away for good?

**This book is recommended for a mature audience, age 18 and older, due to language and explicit content

My Review

5 years ago Lindsay and Grady fell in love. They had plans to spend the rest of their life together. When the summer ends Lindsay must return home and finish out her schooling. 2 months after returning home, Lindsay sends an email off ending their relationship and breaking Grady's heart.

5 years on Grady is barely getting his life back on track. When Lindsay broke his heart he checked out. Now he's  at a place that he can let go and maybe just be ok.
Then Lindsay comes back into town….

'Everything I had worked so hard to put behind me had just been brought to the forefront. When I woke up this morning, I had no idea she was so close.. How was I going to be able to function? It was like my world had been turned upside down, and I had no idea what the fuck to do.' ~ Grady

What both Lindsay and Grady felt 5 years ago, is still there, buried deep. Their constant run ins bring out the undeniable sexual tension, snarky remarks and fun banter.

"Need an hand? I asked with a sneer.
She huffed at me, "No thanks. I'd rather get skin cancer."

Grady was hurt and deals with it the only way he knows how, and lashes out at Lindsay. She understands the hurt but the man she fell in love with is changed and it pains her to see what she had done.

"What happened to you?"

"You wanna know what happened to me?… YOU HAPPENED TO ME! You Lindsay. You happened to me."
"You ripped my heart out of my fucking chest! I loved you, lindsay. I would of done anything for you."

But Lindsay is hiding  a big part of why she hurt him. And when the truth comes out, everything Grady has believed the last 5 years comes crashing down around him.
What had him believing he could never forgive Lindsay, now leaves him hoping that lindsay can find it in her to forgive him?

I really enjoyed this N/A read. I love a little angst,  and Just One Reason delivered it perfectly.
I loved Grady. He really struggles with what happens and you can feel his heartbreak. You really do believe he loved/Loves Lindsay so much.

I loved Leah. She was a hoot!

The epilogue was divine. I love me a good Epilogue and Kirsten DeMuzio delivered one perfectly.

I Really enjoyed it, and would recommend this if your interested in light angst, sweet and touch of sexy,  N/A reads.
