This is a joint review of The Education of Sebastian and The Education Of Caroline.

Forbidden Love has never felt so right!

What can I say…. Other than WOW!

“I had chosen - willingly, knowingly, deliberately. I chose love over law. And I didn't care.”

Caroline is in a loveless marriage, a doormat to her Military husband. After yet another move, Caroline settles back into San Diego. When she runs into Sebastian, she wasn't prepared for the pull that's between the two.
Sebastian Hunter is no longer the small child she remembers. Now a young man, living his own hell.

There is an undeniable attraction between the two but Caroline shrugs off his little crush.

But Sebastian ignites something in her, something that she can't push away. After fighting & pushing him away, Caroline succumbs and embarks on a dangerous journey that forever changes not only her life but Sebastian's as well.

You go through all the emotions of their affair.
While she was teaching Sebastian about sex and making love.
He was showing her true passion and Love.

"I tried to understand the feelings that filled me, making me lighter than air. I felt beautiful for the first time in my life, safe and secure, Loved, and Cherished."

Sebastian had to grow up so quick, with his horrible childhood. You seem to forget how young he really is.

“Don’t patronize me, Caro”, he said, sounding even angrier. “You think I don’t know what it means to make this commitment but I do … Don’t dismiss how I feel just because…just because I’m younger than you.”

While they experience a summer of Love, Passion and extreme Happiness, all that comes crashing down when, their family around them uncover their secret.
Leaving you with a shocker of a cliffhanger….

Despite what happened that day, despite what happened later, I can't bring myself to regret the events of that summer, because Sebastian taught me how to love.

I went straight onto Part 2. I needed to know what was gonna happen.

10 years have passed.


Caro now a Journalist, and Sebastian now a Chief in the US Marines.
After that one summer that changed their lives, both have dealt and moved on in their own ways. Neither speaking or hearing from the other.

Caro is on assignment about to head into war torn Afghanistan and of all places runs into Sebastian.

“I never dreamed that my past would catch up with me, and that I’d be drawn back into the erotic madness of a decade ago."

Long gone the sweet caring man Caro fell in love with 10years ago, no, Sebastian has a coldness to him. The pain and rejection he hides behind.
We learn how they both dealt with the fall out of their affair, and how it had effected both their lives.

“Why didn’t you come back?” he sobbed. “I waited and waited for you, like I said I would, but you never came back! Why? Why didn’t you come back? I love you I love you I love you.”

But Caro did try to reach out, but fate wasn't meant to be at the time and she made the decision to leave it be.
Sebastian holds anger and resentment to Caro for not coming back. They both must work through that to be able to move forward.


Sebastian has always known and believed his love for Caro but Caro never truly believed it to be more than a first love.
Sebastian believes that this is their second chance. Nothing is holding them back.

“I haven’t changed how I feel. I still love you – I’ve always loved you. It’s only ever been you.”

They embark on another amazing journey of forgiveness and love. Adventure and living. It was absolutely amazing.
Their banter was hilarious. I loved their teasing.
Sebastian is an amazing man and you can't help fall in love with him.
This second instalment was at times a lot more deeper and passionate. It felt raw. You're praying for a happy ending.

It was the most extraordinary feeling, riding that wave together. In some ways it was a metaphor for the life we were starting on. Who knew when we'd we fall. But by trusting each other and moving as one, the ride would be longer.

When you finally think they get their HEA, tragedy strikes and they find themselves fighting for everything they ever had.

" Caro… I don't understand- why do you love me?" 

"Just because…. because the sky is blue and the sea is green."

Will they get the HEA everyone craves…
