How can a book that's sweet and hilariously funny also feel like it's ripping my heart out? 

God what a mixed bag of emotions.



Going into Ruin, I hadn't read the synopsis, I hadn't read any reviews, all I knew was it was getting ALOT of 5 stars.
I went in blind and my heart took a beating for it. I had no idea where I was going, who I was following and how would I survive. And boy did that give me a rush.

Rachel Van Dyken takes you on an emotional journey, leaving it impossible for you to walk away unaffected.


So in turn I challenge you to take on this journey blind. Live in the laughter of their hilarious banter. Smile so hard your mouth begins to hurt. Press your hand to your chest and feel your heart beat.
Swoon over the most precious boy you could meet. Feel your body rack with sobs as you pray for that happy ending and when all said and done, cherish life, live it, breathe it, love it.

The human condition is stupid. We torture ourselves in order to feel better….

I was the Big bad wolf, and she the innocent lamb.
Keeping something from her made me the villain. If I could change the story I would give anything to be the Hero…
Her innocence was what drew me to her, her heart is what made me want to fight for my own.

~ If only hearts could heal that way…. through someone else's beating.~

If I could just change her world, take the darkness away. I would feel like it was all for something...
I wasn't counting on her shifting the balance.

I should of walked away, but my Lamb made it impossible. she made me feel new.
What I wanted and what I could give were two different things. Because in the end I wouldn't have anything to give her that's worth having..

One smile and I was putty, absolutely useless againts his magic boy powers.
He pulled me from the darkness and I held on to his light.
He took my fears and taught me to embrace them, live them.

I was falling to hard to fast. I was beginning to live for his smiles..
He rescued me and I found my Ruin. He was pushing me towards life.


But things are not as they seem….
