She's bleeding done it... again!! Drawn in, engrossed in the story, hooked and now dying for book 2!!

At a very young age Anna was orphaned and sent to live in an orphanage. At age 13 the orphanage sold her on as a sex slave. Years later she doesn't even know how old she is she just lives day to day trying to survive the nightmare of her life. She's once again on the verge of being sold off to a new buyer but an opportunity to escape comes to light and Anna takes it. She's not out long before she's captured by some backstreet people who want to use her as their sex slave. Much to her surprise she's rescued by an unlikely source but what is to happen to her now?

Rafael runs the Juarez Cartel. He's cold and calculated and everyone knows to not cross him. He receives a call from an associate asking for a favor. He agrees to the favor and comes into the possession of a woman. Anna. He's to keep her safe with him until his associate needs her for collateral. It doesn't start off well and only gets worse. There's something about Anna that reminds him of his past. His rules start to go out the window and he doesn't know what to do with her.

Anna's only instinct is survival. Can she she survive long enough to finally gain her freedom? What does her new owner want?

Now, if you've read the Kiss of Death Series you will know of both of these characters. I can say though that you do not need to have read those to read this. They run on the exact same timeline.

This is going to be a 2 book series and in book one we get lots about Anna's past. She's so broken how the poor girl even continues to breathe is beyond me. She absolutely broke my heart. But what i love about LP Lovell is that although the character should be a shell of a woman after everything she's lived through she most certainly is not! There's never a meek broken girl in LP's books you can always find a strength. A quality in the character that tells you they're not going to lie down and take shit! There's gonna be a spark, maybe a little smolder and as the story goes on they get stronger and stronger. Ain't no LP Lovell female character that needs a man! Nope! Anna is no exception. She has a dignity about her that makes you proud of her. There's a defiance there that comes to the surface with every page turned. She's someone you will be rooting for to finally take her life back!

Rafael (Rafe) is an absolute beast that will have you begging for him to be unleashed. He's so controlled and shut off at first so to see him slowly unfold as the story goes on is brilliant. Anna gets stronger for him and he gets weaker for her. I loved it! It was like balancing scales tipping in Anna's favor. Rafe is a complicated man that very few are close to but he starts to show himself to Anna and she starts to let him in. I mean i can't really blame her who doesn't love an evil, cold, tattoo'd, beefcake Cartel boss? I know i absolutely do!! Which is why i loved him. He can also be kinda sweet?!?! Little spoiler Anna is scared of needles so he holds her down for her own good. I mean that's sweet right?!?! she needed meds!!! lol Some of the building sexual tension had me clenching my thighs with anticipation! Those lips, those eyes, that body! phewwwww Book 2 now pleeeaaseeee!!!!!!

The writing flows so well it's almost poetic. All the words draw you in until you can't put the book down, and at that point you will probably scream at your reading device and curse the name LP Lovell like a sailor in a bar! I NEED BOOK 2!!!!

The storyline is sometimes hard to read. Anna's circumstances are horrendous but it doesn't focus on that but rather Anna's fight for freedom and Rafe's fight against his past. There's plenty of action and suspense from start to finish to make you hold on tight!

Did i mention i need book 2 now!!! Yes there is a cliffy but you'll enjoy it i'm sure... maybe... ok so no one 100% loves a cliffy but it makes you crave the next book! Like me!

Sky high recommendation from me!

I'm off to smoke one of Rafe's cigars and wait for book 2! Bring it on Lovell, bring it on! I have a feeling book 2 is gonna be a massive explosion of awesomeness!
